The 5150 Overdrive is powered
by one 9-volt battery (remove
bottom plate to install), a 9-volt
AC adapter such as the Dunlop
ECB003/ECB003EU, or the
DC Brick
and Iso-Brick
power supplies.

EVH tones
• Features 3-band EQ section for
versatile tweakability
• Boost switch adds extra gain
and compression
• Gate control engages noise gate
DIRECTIONS
• Run a cable from your guitar
to the EVH5150’s INPUT jack
and run another cable from the
EVH5150’s OUTPUT jack to
your amplifier.
• Turn the effect on by
depressing the footswitch.
• Start with GATE control fully
counterclockwise and all other
controls at 12 oclock.
• Rotate OUTPUT control
clockwise to increase effect
volume or counterclockwise
to decrease it.
• Rotate BASS control clockwise
to boost low end frequencies or
counterclockwise to cut them.
• Rotate MID control clockwise to
boost midrange frequencies or
counterclockwise to cut them.
• Rotate TREBLE control
clockwise to boost high
end frequencies or counter-
clockwise to cut them.
• Rotate GAIN control clock-
wise to increase intensity of
overdrive or counterclockwise
to decrease it.
• Push the BOOST switch for
increased gain and compression.
• Rotate GATE control clockwise
to engage the EVH5150’s noise
gate and raise its threshold.
GATE knob will illuminate yellow
when noise gate is active.
Turning GATE control fully
counterclockwise shuts the
noise gate OFF.
