1. Remove wax and clean existing flange. Remove closet bolts (if installed)
2. Pre-align Raise-A-Ring with existing flange so that the closet bolt slots or
notches to be used are in the same position as those on existing flange.
Note: The Raise-A-Ring must be fastened to the subfloor using screws on each
side of both tracks or notches that bolts will be installed into. It may be
necessary to remove mounting screws from existing flange in order to attach
Raise-A-Ring (through extisting flange) to subfloor.
3. Fill “silicone track” on underside of Raise-A-Ring with 100% silicone sealant.
Be sure to apply enough sealant such that it makes substantial contact all the
way around the surface of existing flange when the Raise-A-Ring is set on
existing flange.
4. Align and set the Raise-A-Ring on the existing flange and fasten to the
subfloor. Use screws on each side of both tracks or notches to be used to hold
closet bolts.
5. After allowing silicone sealant to cure, set closet bolts into tracks or notches
and continue with installation of bowl wax and toilet fixture according to
manufacturers instructions.
