GENERAL INFORMATION
The Replacement Clevis Pin And Cotter Pin Kit is available as a replacement
parts kit for the fireplace models listed in Table 1.
If you encounter any problems, need clarification of these instructions or
are not qualified to properly install this kit, contact you local distributor
or dealer.
Read this instruction sheet in its entirety before beginning the installation.
ALL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS IN THE INSTALLATION AND OPER-
ATION MANUAL PROVIDED WITH THE APPLIANCE APPLY TO THESE
INSTRUCTIONS.
TURN OFF THE APPLIANCE AND ALLOW IT TO COMPLETELY COOL BEFORE
PROCEEDING.
Check the contents of the kits upon receipt and check for any damaged
or missing parts. If there is hidden damage, notify your freight company
or IHP dealer immediately.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Detach the upper right wooden bypass handle by unscrewing it and re-
move the rubber sleeve on the lower left primary air handle (see Figure 1).
2. Remove the (8) decorative caps on the exterior of the facade. Using a flat
head screwdriver, remove the (8) retaining screws (see Figure 2).

3. Pull the facade forward and remove (see Figure 3).
4. Pull the by-pass rod fully forward to be able to access the screw and nut
(see Figure 4).
5. Using a 3/8” box end and a 5/16” box end ratchet wrench, remove the
screw and nut on the by-pass control arm (see Figure 5).
6. Insert the clevis pin through the By-Pass Lever and By-Pass Lever Sup-
port, push the cotter pin through the hole of the pin, and bend each half
backwards with a set of needle-nose pliers (see Figure 6).
