Start by removing the outer fairing. NOTE: A towel or something similar over your
front fender can help prevent dings or scratches in case something drops!
Remove the speaker/grill assembly from the bike. The factory grill cloth is glued to a
plastic mesh, and together, is two way taped to the main body of the grill assembly.
You can usually peel away the mesh from the body of the grill by hand. With the
factory grill cloth/mesh off, you should see the exposed two-way tape used to hold
the factory mesh on the main grill body. In most cases the factory two-way tape will
hold the new mesh in place, but new two-way tape is supplied in the box if you need
it*. Take a moment and make sure the new mesh is oriented so everything lines up
properly. Re-install the speaker/grill assembly into the fairing.
*Please note that most adhesives work best at room temperature or higher!
For custom applications, the metal mesh is thick enough so it shouldn't warp during
such processes as powder coating, polishing, painting, chroming etc.
