Neveruseabladeafterhittingahardobjectwithoutrst

Nevertouchthebladesorservicethisappliancewiththe
powersupplyconnected.
Donotforcethehedgetrimmerthroughheavyshrubbery.
Thiscancausethebladestobindandslowdown.Ifthe
bladesslowdown,reducethepace.
Donotattempttocutstemsortwigsthatarelargerthan16
mm(5/8inch),orthoseobviouslytoolargetofeedintothe
cuttingblade.Useanon-poweredhandsaworpruningsaw
totrimlargestems.
Ifbladesbecomejammed,stopthemotor,allowtheblades
tostop,andremovethebatterybeforeattemptingtoremove
theobstruction.
Ifdesired,youcanuseastringtohelpcutyourhedgelevel.
Decidehowhighyouwantthehedge.Stretchapieceof
stringalongthehedgeatthedesiredheight.Trimthehedge
justabovetheguidelineofstring.
Trimthesideofahedgesothatitisslightlynarroweratthe
top.Y ouexposemoreofthehedgewhenyoushapeitthis
way,andthehedgewillappearmoreuniform.
Weargloveswhentrimmingthornyorpricklygrowth.When
trimmingnewgrowth,useawidesweepingaction,sothatthe
stemsarefeddirectlyintothecuttingblade.Oldergrowth
willhavethickerstemsandmosteasilytrimmedbyusinga
sawingmovement.
