HORNBLASTERS MK-1 Motorcycle Air Ride Suspension Kit Installation guide

  • Hello! I've reviewed the Hornblasters Air Ride Suspension Modification Kit installation diagram. It contains instructions for modifying your motorcycle's air suspension system, details electrical wiring for the compressor, and provides leak checking methods. I am ready to answer your questions about the installation diagram and its associated components.
  • What tools should I use to cut the air lines?
What is the minimum bend radius for the 1/4” air line?
What is the recommended fuse size for the air compressor?
How should I check for leaks?
How tight should I screw the adapter fitting into the compressor?

CUTTING AIR LINES
Use a sharp knife or a hose cutter and
make clean, square cuts. Do not use
scissors or wire cutters because these
tools will deform the air line. Do not cut
the lines at an angle.
The minimum bend radius for 1/4” air line
is 1” (25mm). Air lines are to be installed
straight into fittings.
It is recommended to use a fuse holder in between the battery positive wire
and the toggle switch. A 20-amp fuse is the ideal size for this air
compressor.
Make sure to disconnect the negative battery terminal before wiring
anything to the battery. This will ensure nothing is damaged during the
installation process.
Double-check that your air lines aren't rubbing or being pinched when
inflating/deflating the bags on your bike. Fully inflate/deflate your shocks
and check for rubbing or clearance issues with the air line.
Use soapy water or a cleaning solution to check for leaks. Spray down
each airline connection and inspect for bubbles. Bubbles forming up
indicates that a small leak is present.
Be careful not to over-tighten the 1/8" x 1/4" adapter fitting too tight into the
compressor. This can cause issues with the check valve on the
compressor. 12~15 Ft. Lbs. Maximum.
