Ⅱ. Out of the Box

Verify that the carton contains the following items:

 Sinocan SHT-35 Mobile Terminal

 Battery Pack(3.7V Li-ion)

 Power Adaptor

 USB Cable

 Touch Stylus

 Lanyard

Note:If you ordered accessories for your terminal, verify that they are included with the

order.

Ⅲ. Install Battery Pack

The SHT-35 terminal is shipped with the battery packaged separate from the

terminal. Follow the steps bellow to install the main battery.

Ensure all components are dry prior to placing the battery in the terminal. Mating

wet components may cause damage not covered by the warranty.

1. Release the hook securing the hand strap to the back panel of the terminal

2. Remove the battery door by lifting up the latches near the base of the

battery door

3. Insert the battery into the battery well

4. Replace the battery door. Apply pressure to engage the door latch. The

battery door must be installed prior to powering the unit

5. Reattach the hand strap

6. Connect the terminal to charging peripherals to charge the main battery

pack

We recommend use of Sinocan Li-ion battery packs. Use of any non-Sinocan

battery may result in damage not covered by the warranty.

Ⅳ. Charging the Terminal

Warning! Sinocan Charging peripherals are not designed for use in hazardous

locations.

Ensure all components are dry prior to placing the battery in the terminal. Mating

wet components may cause damage not covered by the warranty.

You can charge for the terminal by USB cable connecting to PC or power

supply.

Ⅴ. Installing Cards

A. Installing a Memory Card

Note: Format all microSD/SDHC cards before initial use.

1. Press the Power Key 3-seconds to make the terminal powered off status

2. Release the hand strap hook near the scanner on the back panel of the

terminal, and then remove the battery door and battery

3. Push SIM card’s door toward right direction to unlock, and then lift the

door to expose the socket

4. The same way to lift the memory card’s door to expose the socket

5. Slide the micro SD/SDHC card into the door of the socket

Note: Make sure the interface on the memory card is connected to the interface in the

socket, align the notch on the card with the notch of the socket.

6. Close and lock the door

B. Installing a SIM Card

Reference to installing a memory card, Slide the GSM card into the SIM

card’s door of the socket

1. Install Active Sync Software on your PC at first

2. Connect PC through USB cable, then choose ActiveSync mode


