Safety Notes
Please note that while the quad-copter is a top, it can still be dangerous if used incorrectly. Any incorrect
assembly or operation may cause a malfunction or an accident. We recommend that this product is not
used by anyone under the age of 14 years old.
Do not use the quad-copter near other people. Make sure that the device is used well away from crowds,
animals or other objects.
This product is designed for indoor use. Please select a location without a lot of
objects that can be easily damaged. Do not use this device near power lines or light
fixtures.
Prevent getting the product wet. The remote controlled toy is composed of many
precision built electrical components. It is critical that you keep the device away from
moisture as this can cause internal corrosion.
To avoid a potential fire danger from the batteries, ensure that you do not short the
batteries or install them with the incorrect polarities. Kogan.com is not liable for any
damage caused by the product being damaged due to incorrectly fitted batteries.
There are NO user serviceable parts inside.
If you are not going to use the quad-copter for an extended period of time, please
ensure that you remove the batteries, as batteries left inside the product for a long
time may leak.
Keep this device away from heat. The plastic is very susceptible to damage or
deformation from being close to heat sources. Do not store the device near a heater
or oven, and do not leave it sitting in direct sunlight.
This device will be difficult to fly at first until you have had sufficient practice. If
possible, assistance from a person who is experienced with flying model quad-copters
may be desirable.

DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE REMOTE CONTROL
1. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the battery compartment by removing the screws (step 1).
2. Load 4 x AA batteries into the remote control, paying attention to the correct polarities as shown
in the battery compartment itself (step 2).

Charging the Quad-copter Batteries
Using the supplied USB cable, plug the connector into the charging
port on the quad-copter, then plug the large USB plug into a USB wall
charger or a computer.

Pairing Remote Control and Receiver
Step One
Turn the quad-copter power on, then place it down on a flat location. The
status indicator will flash. Do not move the device as the gyroscope is
calibrating.
Step Two
Turn the remote control on, the push the throttle stick down to it's lowest
point, then push it up to the highest point. The remote control will send out
a signal and pair with the quad-copter
Step Three
After use, please turn off the quad-copter to avoid depleting the batteries
further.
WARNING: If left paired and operating for too long, the battery may be
damaged due to over-discharge and may even become a fire hazard.
Step Four
Turn off the remote control. If the remote control is not going to be used
for an extended period of time, please remove the batteries.

Flight Adjustments and Settings
To get familiar with the operations, practice operating the controls as shown below in a large open area.
Keep practicing the manoeuvrers until you can perform them as they are being called out.
Notes for Beginners
Check to make sure all screws are tightened.
Check that the remote control and quad-copter are both fully charged.
Make sure that no people or obstructions are nearby.
Practice safe hovering before moving on to harder tricks.
Stand approximately 2m diagonally behind the quad-copter
When the four lights on the bottom of the quad-copter all flash, it means the battery is running low.
Troubleshooting

Lights on quad-copter blink continuously
for 4 seconds once turned on. No response
to controller input.
Unable to pair with the remote control. Repeat the power up and initialisation
process.
No response after batteries are inserted into
the remote control.
Check power of both remote
control and quad-copter

Motor not responding to throttle stick. Helicopter battery depleted. Fully charge the batteries.
Main blade not turning. The main blade and motor are not

Lift the main blade up to give appropriate
clearance.
Main rotor spins but quad-copter will not
take off.
Deformed main blades.
Helicopter battery depleted.
Replace blades.
Charge helicopter fully.
Quad-copter is shaking violently or lunging
sideways.
Main blade is out of shape. Replace main blade.
Tail remains off-trim after adjustment, or
inconsistent speed during left/right
pirouette.
Damaged tail rotors.
Damaged tail drive motor.
Replace the main wing.
Replace the main rotor.
Quad-copter still wanders forward after trim
adjustment during hover.
Gyroscope has not been calibrated

Turn quad-copter off, then turn it on and
place it on a flat surface and do not move it
while it recalibrates.
