INPUTS
The DBX-600 is a two input stereo audio/video control center. It is designed for automotive
applications and is powered from 12 volts DC, negative ground The two stereo AN inputs
accept line level signals.
The first stereo AN input on the back panel is intended as a permanent installation
connection to the AudiovoX@ AVP-7000/7180 VHS video cassette player. The second
stereo AN input is on the front panel and is intended for temporary connection to video
game stations (Nintendo@, Sega<8>, Sony~ Playstation<8> and the like), camcorders, a
second VGP, a video cassette recorder or even an audio only source like a compact disc
player.
OUTPUTS
The DBX-600 has two stereo headphone outputs on the front panel. The volume level for
these headphones is controlled by the front panel's rotary volume control The DBX-600 has
a composite video output on the rear panel designed to connect to the Flexvision@ LCM-606
5.6" active-matrix LCD panel. The DBX-600 also has a line level stereo output on the rear
panel. This audio output is designed to connect to the vehicle's audio system, if the
vehicle's audio system is equipped with line level inputs.
The two source selector buttons on the front panel accomplishes source selection. The
selected AN source il\uminates the appropriate LED above each button. Pushing the other
source select button toggles the output to that source.
The DBX-600 supplies 12-volt power to the FIe x vision@ LCM-606 5.6" active-matrix LCD
panel. If the DBX-600 controller senses no video output to the panel, then the controller
removes power to the LCD panel. This prevents wasted power and annoying white-screens
with no picture. Once the DBX-600 controller senses video output it restores power to the
FIe x vision@ LCM-606 5.6" active-matrix LCD panel.
CONTROL
The DBX-600 has a built-in wired remote control for the Flexvision@ AVP-700017180 VHS
video cassette player. The remote infrared transmitter assembly has pressure sensitive
adhesive tape that sticks to the front of the VCP's remote window. This allows the VCP to
be remotely mounted (in the trunk, under a sofa, etc. ) where it is not in sight of the DBX-600
controller. The controller operates all the tape transport functions of the Audiovox@ AVP-
7000/7180 VHS video cassette player (POWER, PLAY, STOP, FFWD, REW, and REPLAY).
