System Setup
When power is turned on, you will see the initializing screen and it
may take up to one minute to complete. After initializing is complete,
an Easy Setup screen will appear.
Easy Setup Wizard
An Easy Setup screen will appear. If you don’t want to go through the setup steps at this time, click the Exit button and the
system will go to the main live screen. When you want to set up the system, just click the Easy Setup Menu or Main menu
in the right-click mouse menu. If the Easy Setup is completed and returns to the live screen, the connected camera image
will be displayed on the live screen. The DVR system will record automatically as regular recording. * For basic system
setup and configuration, it is recommended to complete all the setup steps.
How to setup the Main Menu
You can control the DVR by using the remote control or the mouse. Simply press the MENU key on the remote controller or
right click anywhere on the live screen and press MENU icon.
Video / Audio Setup
1) Camera Title: Create channel (camera) name
2) Monitor: Adjust the brightness/contrast/hue/color for a monitor
connected to DVR.
3) Sequence/Event Display: Your DVR can display each live video
channel in full similar to slide show in PC. Select the interval,
channel setup and duration.
4) OSD/Display Position: You can configure each parameter for on-
screen-display using direction keys.
5) Screen Mode: You can configure the Live Screens and Split
Screens.

Record Setup
Record Quality Setup
[Primary]: Setup the Primary Recording option
1) Resolution [1080p, 720p, 960H, 1/2 960H and 1/4 960H]
There are several recording resolution modes you can choose
from. 1080p is the highest resolution.
2) Record Rate (F/S) [NTSC: 30-1] [PAL 25-1]
Select recording speed in frame (image) per second.
Higher F/S requires more HDD spaces.
3) Record Quality
Select recording video quality. You can select level 1 (low)
to level 8 (high) for video quality.
[Secondary]: Setup the Secondary Recording option
1) Resolution [CIF]_Default
2) Record Rate (F/S)
Select recording speed in frame (image) per second. You can select 12 fps (highest) to OFF.
3) Record Quality
Select recording video quality. You can select level 1 (low) to level 8 (high) for video quality.
Recording Method
The user can set the recording resolution for both normal and Event condition. That is, the user can set the low resolution
for normal condition and high resolution for Event condition respectively for each channel.
Recording Schedule Setup
This menu allows you to create your own recording schedule and trigger type. To enable this feature, schedule recording
feature at RECORD->POLICY->SCHEDULE menu must be turned “ON”. Using direction keys and ENTER button, choose
preferred record types (such as Continuous, Event, Both (Cont&Evnt) on the selected time and date. Different color will
represent different recording types.
1) CH: 1 ~ 4 (or 8/16) : Select channel for schedule recording.
2) Select Day [SUN – SAT, Hol]: Select the desired day for schedule
recording.
3) Time: Move the cursor to desired time and press ENTER key to
set it highlighted. Press click again to change schedule recording
option by color.
4) You can set different recording schedule and type for each
camera (channel) or you can apply current schedule setting to all
other cameras by pressing “Apply to All CH” button. When the
recording schedule setup is done, click OK.

Motion Setup
This menu allows you to set motion detection area for motion recording.
To start a motion trigger recording, RECORD-> POLICY->MOTION
must be enabled
Sensitivity [LEVEL 1 – LEVEL 10] : The higher level is more sensitive to
detect motions.
Area [FULL / SETUP]
Full Area: Motion will be detected from full viewing area.
Position: You can setup the detection area manually. To set up the area,
go to Position menu
To set up Motion Recording, you will need to do three (3) essential steps. These steps does not have to be in these
necessary order but must be executed for Motion Recording.
Under Record menu, scroll down and click the Motion tab. After clicking, you will be in Motion Detection page. Under Mode
tab, you will need to enable it (ON). Next, go to Record Schedule. From this page, you can set the days, hours and
channels for event. Lastly, you will set need to set the policy. Under Record menu, click on the Policy tab. This will take you
to the Policy page. Under Schedule, enable it by clicking it to ON.
Setting the Motion Detection Area:
Select <Motion Region>
When “Motion Region” window appears, select a channel for detection
and set the area of motion detection. To set the area in “Motion Region”
window, select desired region. To set the area cells individually, click
<Individual> button. When selected <Individual>, “Motion Region”
window will appear and you can select cells one by one or drag the
mouse to desired area to select motion region.
1) Select: Selected cell is set to be a part of motion detection area.
2) Unselected: Selected cell is removed from the motion detection
area.
3) Inverse: Unselected cells are set to be the motion detection area.
4) Menu: After selecting individual motion areas, click menu for the “Motion Region” window to appear.
When the motion detection setup is completed, click <OK>. By clicking <OK>, you will exit this Motion region setting.
Important: When setting the Motion Detection, areas in yellow will only detect motion.

Device Setup
1) Storage: HDD size and percentage used will be shown. You can
format each HDD if necessary.
2) Sensor/Video Loss Detection: Select the right type of your external
sensors connected to the DVR. There are two different types of
sensors. (N.O.-Normal Open and N.C.- Normal Close). Press
ENTER button to change and select the sensor type.
3) Alarm schedule: You can set the condition and operating hours for
scheduled alarms.
4) PTZ: DVR supports pan, tilt and zoom control for PTZ cameras or
servers. It has RS485 port to connect to PTZ cameras and
supports most industrial common protocols.
5) System Controller / Printer Device: You can set the RS485 communicator for use of PTZ Camera with the DVR.
System Setup
1) Date / Time: setup the current date and time manually.

Signal/Language: Select preferred language for OSD

Config: EXPORT, IMPORT, RESET the DVR configuration. You
can also upgrade the firmware.
4)
Log Information: You can browse logs on the system and events
5)
Authorization Management: sets permission of each user over the
DVR’s specific function and settings
6)
Setup: Create your own unique network ID (up to 8 digits) and
user password. You will need this ID and Password to connect to
the DVR through the intranet or internet using Network Viewer or
Web Viewer.

Network Connection Setup:
DVR Connection
1) Connection Mode: Sets the network connection mode.
2) Bandwidth: Sets the maximum data flow to be transferred (Upload
speed). Options will vary depending on the selected connection mode.
3) IP, Gateway, Subnet Mask and DNS
- For Static IP: You can directly input IP address, Gateway, Subnet
Mask and DNS.
- For Dynamic IP: IP Address, Gateway and Subnet Mask are set
automatically.
4) When the connection setup is complete, click <OK>.
Port / Connection Test:
1) Port (TCP): Initially, 9350-9351 is set. It increases / decreased by
TCP:
2) Web Viewer Port: Enter the port number for the Web Viewer.
Initially, it is set to 80.
3) When the port setup is complete, click OK.
4) UPnP: This function will automatically perform port forwarding to
your router. By checking the box, the system will automatically do
port forwarding. If your router does not support UPnP, a FAIL
message will appear. If the router does support UPnP, then a
SUCCESS message will appear. If the Port is already in use
message appears, this indicates that particular port is already in use
so you must change to a different port.
DVRNS / Dashboard:
Enter your Network ID and Password to gain network access. By using the virtual keyboard, you may enter your ID and
Password. Dashboard allows you to access, manage and monitor the multiple DVR with single ID from anywhere in the
world where you can access the internet. Once you login with your ID, the Dashboard shows the registered DVR list on the
web and enables you to access the DVR for real-time monitoring and playback. As free internet service, for using the
Dashboard, you should setup the DVR on the Dashboard by registering your ID and Password.
DDNS:
You can set the DDNS site for a remote user’s network connection.
Live Transfer: You can set the quality of the image that is transferred from the DVR to the network.
General Operation
After Easy Setup is completed or exited from Easy Setup menu, a live screen will appear. When the user does not log-in the
system and click on any and it will prompt you to the login dialog. Enter ID and Password by using the virtual keyboard and
click OK. By default, the ID / Password is “admin” / “admin”

Live Launcher
In the live mode, the Live Launcher helps you execute commands with by one click without entering into main menu. The
Live Launcher screen can be hidden. If you move the mouse cursor near to the icon, a word bubble is appeared to show the
tooltip.

Remote Monitoring (via Web Viewer)
1) Open your internet browser.
2) Type your DVR’s IP address in your internet browser (ex: http://192.168.0.30) or click the detected DVR in the “Smart
Manager”. You will be directed to screen as above.
3) Default ID / password: admin / admin
4) Select the connect mode (Web viewer or Setup)
5) If you select the Web Viewer mode, there will be JAVA initializing stage.
* Before running your Web viewer, JAVA will need to initialize. If the JAVA is not installed in your PC, please install it first
from the CD tile or internet web site.

COMELIT RAS Solution (Remote Monitoring)
Using the client software that is included in the CD-title, you can monitor the DVR from remote site.
First, install COMELIT RAS Solution in your PC and run the client.
Enter the ID and Password. (Default ID and PW is “admin” / “admin”.)
In order to connect DVR, please click the icon on the top-left
corner and click the System Setup menu.
To register DVR at Comelit Ras Solution, “Device Group” must
be created first. Right click the Device folder to add device group.
Enter the desired group name.
And search DVR at “Discovery” Tab. DVR will be
automatically searched and displayed at “Discovery” list. If
DVR is not in the list, click the Refresh button.
Select a device in the Discovery list, and drag and drop it by
mouse in the desired group folder.

COMELIT IP RAS (Mobile Viewer)
Access App store from your iPhone or Android phone. Type “COMELIT” in the search bar. Select “Comelit IP Ras” to
install it. After installation, open the App. Push the “Start” button. Push the Add button on the top right corner. Select the
“Recorder” section and select as follows;
- Device Type: NVR
- Model: Standalone NVR
- Codec: Default
- Address Type: Select Static IP/ DVRNS/ DNS
- Max Channel: Select the number of channel (4ch/8ch/16ch)
- Stream: Select Primary or Secondary stream (MJPEG is for NVR option.)
- Name: Input the desired device name.
- IP/URL: Input IP address
- Port: Input connection port (default : 9350)
- Web Port: Input the Web port (default: 80)
- ID & Password: Input registered ID and Password.
