To be used on models:
This insulator kit eliminates a potential condition with the referenced power sources which could, with improper
operator set-up, lead to a serious safety issue. Inadequate clearance between certain primary and secondary
components may cause shorting of the primary voltage to the welding output of the power source. If the work
piece is not properly earth grounded as required, a potentially serious hazard could exist that could lead to
personal injury or death or other equipment damage. Follow the instructions below.

DISCONNECT primary power at wall switch, or circuit breaker,
before attempting inspection or work inside the power source.
1. Remove the power source top cover and both side panels.
2. Inspect the wiring on the rear of the voltage linkage board for wire contact with the transformer bus bar and
repair any damaged wire insulation.
3. Slip the Kydex insulator between the transformer bus bar and primary wires connected to the rear of the
voltage linkage board and secure in place using 2 plastic tie wraps supplied with the kit.
NOTE
If the distance between the transformer bus bar and the primary wiring will not allow passage of the inulator, remove the
two bolts holding the voltage linkage board and lift the board to allow passage of the insulator. Upon reassembly, insert
the 1/2" spacers between the linkage board and the "A" frame support and secure with .25 x 1" self-taping screw.

4. Inspect the opposite end of the transformer bus bar for primary wire routing that might be in
contact with the bus bar and repair any damaged wire insulation. Move primary wires so they are
not in contact with the transformer bus bar and have at least 1" separation from all un-insulated
metal surfaces.
6. Tie wrap the Kydex insulator between the transformer bus bar and primary wires routed around edge of bus
bar extending the insulator beyond the end of the bus bar if necessary to protect wires from contacting bus
bar edge. Secure in place using 2 plastic tie wraps supplied with the kit.
7. Replace the power source side and top panels and return to service.
