TURNTABLE OPERATION

VERY IMPORTANT!

To prevent damages from transportation, a transit screw is located at the upper right

side of the turntable platform. Before start playing, use a screwdriver and turn the

transit screw in clockwise direction (screw going down) completely. In case of tran-

sportation, remember to clock again this screw in counter-clockwise direction to pre-

vent damages.

Preparation

1. Open the Record Player Cover.

2. Release the Tonearm Clamp, and remove the stylus protector.

WARNINGS

The exclamation point within the triangle is a warning sign alerting

the user of important instructions accompanying the product.

The lightening flash with arrowhead symbol within the triangle is a

warning sign alerting the user of “dangerous voltage” inside the unit.

To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover. No

user serviceable parts inside the unit. Refer all servicing to quali-

fied personnel.

This unit operates on 230V ~ 50Hz. If the unit is not used for a

long period of time, remove the plug from the AC mains.

Ensure all connections are properly made before operating the

unit.

This unit must not be exposed to moisture or rain.

This unit should be positioned so that it is properly ventilated.

Avoid placing it, for example, close to curtains, on the carpet or in

a built-in installation such as a bookcase.

Do not expose this unit to direct sunlight or heat radiating sources.

Listening to Records

1. Place a record on the turntable, over the central spindle. Place the EP adapter

over the central spindle when playing 17cm EP records.

2. Set the Speed Selector to 33/78 or 45 rpm according to the record.

3. Release the tonearm clamp, and remove the protective cap from the stylus.

4. Lift the Tonearm with the Tonearm Lift Lever.

5. Move the tonearm to the beginning of the record, or to the start of a particular

track.

6. Gently lower the tone arm onto the record with the Tonearm Lift lever to start

playing.

7. When the record is finished the tonearm will automatically stop and return auto-

matically to the rest. To stop manually, lift the tonearm from the record and re-

turn it to the rest.

Notes: Do not stop or turn the platter manually. Moving or jarring the turntable

without securing the Tonearm clamp could result in damage to the Tonearm. Repla-

ce the protective cap on the stylus when not in use.

SOFTWARE INSTRUCTION

Before Starting the Software

Make sure that your USB TTL-6970EPC is plugged into the computer.

To Install Software (PC)

1. Connect the USB port on the TTL-6970EPC and to the USB port of your compu-

ter.

2. Press PLAY on TTL-6970EPC.

3. Windows system will detects a new device and that it is available to use.

4. Insert the CD that came with your TTL-6970EPC.

5. Run the file “install audacity-win-1.2.4b.exe” to install Audacity software. Once

installed, run the Audacity program.

To Install Software (MAC)

1. Insert the included CD

2. Open the CD icon on the desktop.

3. Drag the installation folder for audacity to your hard drive. We recommend that

you move the folder to your “Applications” folder.

4. A window will come up which shows the files copying.

5. EJECT the CD.

6. Open “Audacity” from where you moved it to on your hard drive.

Software Configuration

1. Click on Microphone in the drop down menu and select “Stereo Mix”.

2. Select the “Edit” menu and then “Preferences”.

3. Select the USB audio device under the “Recording” selection as shown. Select

“USB Audio CODEC” to hear the audio while recording.

4. After completing the above setting, you are ready for recording.

5. If you are still having difficulty finding the TTL-6970EPC, try to check your sy-

stem settingsor control panel to adjust audio input settings from the sound con-

trol panel.
