GENERAL TIPS
• When blending dry ingredients do not fill past the 500 mark on the jug.
• To prevent overheating, place dry goods (rice, corn) in the freezer 15 minutes before blending.
• To add ingredients while the blender is working, remove the cap, pour the new ingredients through
the hole then replace the cap.
• When processing hard ingredients, keep one hand on the lid to steady the jug during processing.
• Cut food into 20mm pieces.
• If food becomes stuck to the sides of the jug during processing, switch the appliance off and use a
rubber spatula redistribute the food. Replace the lid then continue processing.
• When making bread crumbs, make sure the jug is completely dry.
• When using the pulse control, use short bursts allowing the blades to stop between pulses. Don’t
press pulse for more that 30 seconds.
• Before blending hot ingredients, allow them to cool for 5 minutes. Remove the cap to allow steam to
escape and start on a low speed (1-3). Cover the hole in the lid with a tea towel or similar (FIG B).
• To crush ice, add 12-15 cubes (max) and pulse to the desired consitency. Make sure the jug is clean
and dry before crushing ice.
