INSTALLING THE WINE CELLAR
FREE-STANDING INSTALLATION
To install the wine cellar, follow these steps:
Place the wine cellar on a strong and
level oor and verify that the door can be
opened wide enough to allow the shelves
to be pulled out.
Adjust the feet to allow a
30 mm clear-
ance under the wine cellar.
Check that the appliance is absolutely
level. It can be levelled by screwing the
adjustable feet at the front of the appliance
up or down.
Connect to electrical outlet. Secure the
cord behind the unit.
BUILT-IN INSTALLATION
To install the wine cellar, follow these steps:
Mount the appliance in the enclosure.
Check for necessary clearance. (Above
clearance should be 50 mm.)
Adjust the feet to allow a
30 mm clear-
ance under the wine cellar.
Check that the appliance is absolutely
level. It can be levelled by screwing the
adjustable feet at the front of the appliance
up or down.
Connect to electrical outlet. Secure the
cord behind the unit.

UNPACKING
On receipt, check to make sure the appliance has
not been damaged during transport. Transport
damage should be reported to the supplier before
the wine cellar is put to use.
Remove the transport pallet. Unpack carefully
and check the appliance. If damaged, notify the
supplier.
Clean the inside of the cabinet using warm water
with a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive scour-
ing powder, steel wool or similar. Rinse with
clean water and wipe it dry using a soft cloth.
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
Any local installation rules for appliances of this
kind must be observed.
For safety and operational reasons, the appliance
must not be installed outdoors.
A
mbient temperature must be between 12-32 °C.
SW 180 has been designed for either freestand-
ing or built-in installation.
For the built-in installation an above clearance of
50 mm is necessary whereas side clearance is not
required.
Install the cabinet in a dry place. Avoid direct
sunlight or any other source of heat.
The surface on which the appliance is to be
placed must be level.
If the wine cabinet is to be placed on a carpet,
place a board underneath the wine cabinet
- or - adjust it again after some time since the
cabinet might settle in soft foundations.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
It is essential that the electrical installation is
carried out correctly, taking into account all rel-
evant regulations and codes of practice.
The appliance is intended for connection to AC.
The required voltage (V) and frequency (Hz) are
stated on data plate inside the appliance.
The wine cellar is tted with a plug intended for
an earthed socket. Dometic and its subsidiaries
will not be held responsible for any incident due
to nonexistent or defective earth wires.
A plug must be used as some operations require
the power supply to be temporarily interrupted.
The plug should also be easily accessible after
installation.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The wine cellar must be earthed.
Power must be connected via an independent
wall socket outlet. Do not cut or remove the
third prong plug (the grounding prong) from the
power cord.
Do not plug the SW 180 into the power socket
before set up is completed.
Electrical leads must be routed and secured to
avoid contact with hot or sharp parts of the wine
cellar. If the mains plug has been damaged in
some way, it must be replaced by a the manu-
facturer or a qualied person to avoid damage or
injury.
