Please read these instructions before installing and using the wine cellar. Keep the manual in
a safe place and ensure that all users are familiar with the contents. Keep the instructions for
future reference and pass them on to any future owner of the appliance.
This appliance is not intended for use by children or other persons without
assistance or supervision if their physical, sensory or mental capabilities prevent
them from using it safely. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.

avor, it needs to be served at the right temperature. A wine served at the right temperature will also high-
light the value of the food. The modularity of this multi-temperature service cellar offers total control over
wine temperature and ensures the perfect drinking temperature for every type of wine. Thus, you can be sure
of serving delicious wines at just the right temperature each and every time. The different areas for red and
white wines can be modied to meet your needs and will enable you to manage wine service better. We trust
you will be completely satised with your purchase.

UNPACKING
On receipt, check to make sure the appliance has
not been damaged during transport. Transport
damage should be reported to the supplier before
the wine cellar is put to use.
Remove the transport pallet. Unpack carefully
and check the appliance. If damaged, notify the
supplier.
Clean the inside of the cabinet using warm water
with a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive scour-
ing powder, steel wool or similar. Rinse with
clean water and wipe it dry using a soft cloth.
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
Any local installation rules for appliances of this
kind must be observed.
For safety and operational reasons, the appliance
must not be installed outdoors.
Ambient temperature must be between 12-32 °C.
SW 180 has been designed for either freestand-
ing or built-in installation.
For the built-in installation an above clearance of
50 mm is necessary whereas side clearance is not
required. Allow a 30 mm clearance under the
wine cellar
Install the cabinet in a dry place. Avoid direct
sunlight or any other source of heat.
The surface on which the appliance is to be
placed must be level.
If the wine cabinet is to be placed on a carpet,
place a board underneath the wine cabinet
- or - adjust it again after some time since the
cabinet might settle in soft foundations. Check
clearance (30 mm) between cabinet and oor and
adjust the cabinets feet if necessary.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The wine cellar must be earthed.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
It is essential that the electrical installation is
carried out correctly, taking into account all rel-
evant regulations and codes of practice.
The appliance is intended for connection to AC.
The required voltage (V) and frequency (Hz) are
stated on data plate inside the appliance.
The wine cellar is tted with a plug intended for
an earthed socket. Dometic and its subsidiaries
will not be held responsible for any incident due
to nonexistent or defective earth wires.
A plug must be used as some operations require
the power supply to be temporarily interrupted.
The plug must be easily accessible after installa-
tion.
Power must be connected via an independent
wall socket outlet. Do not cut or remove the
third prong plug (the grounding prong) from the
power cord.
Do not plug the SW 180 into the power socket
before set up is completed.
Electrical leads must be routed and secured to
avoid contact with hot or sharp parts of the wine
cellar. If the mains plug has been damaged in
some way, it must be replaced by a the manu-
facturer or a qualied person to avoid damage or
injury.

INSTALLING THE WINE CELLAR
FREE-STANDING INSTALLATION
To install the wine cellar, follow these steps:
Place the wine cellar on a strong and
level oor and verify that the door can be
opened wide enough to allow the shelves
to be pulled out.
Adjust the feet to allow a 30 mm clear
-
ance under the wine cellar.
Check that the appliance is absolutely
level. It can be levelled by screwing the
adjustable feet at the front of the appliance
up or down.
Connect to electrical outlet. Secure the
cord behind the unit.
BUILT-IN INSTALLATION
To install the wine cellar, follow these steps:
Mount the appliance in the enclosure.
Check for necessary clearance. (Above
clearance should be 50 mm.)
Adjust the feet to allow a 30 mm clear
-
ance under the wine cellar.
Check that the appliance is absolutely
level. It can be levelled by screwing the
adjustable feet at the front of the appliance
up or down.
Connect to electrical outlet. Secure the
cord behind the unit.

MOUNTING THE DOOR HANDLE
To mount the door handle, follow these steps:
Remove the door gasket behind the two
holes adapted for the handle. Start in the
upper corner and gently pull out the gas-
ket from the slot. Continue down and pass
the two holes.
Insert the two screws in the two pre-
drilled holes.
Mount the handle. Secure with the two
provided screws.

Example
The setting range for the red wine
compartment is 14-18°C. The gradi
-
ent +/-2 °C means that if you set the
temperature to 15°C, the temperature
range will be 15°C + 2°C = 17°C at
the top of the zone and 15°C - 2°C =
13°C at the bottom.
The setting range for the white wine
compartment is 6-10°C. The gradi-
ent +/-3 °C means that if you set the
temperature to 6°C, the temperature
range will be 6°C + 3°C = 9°C at the
top of the zone and 6°C - 3°C = 3°C
at the bottom.
To adjust the temperature, follow these steps:
Press and hold button [1] or [2] for a few
seconds. The display will start blinking.
Release the button. Press button [1]
or [2] to increase or decrease the tempera-
ture. The new setting will be saved auto-
matically after approx. 6 seconds.

TURNING ON/OFF
Following transport of the wine cooling
cabinet, please make sure to wait about
one hour before switching on the appli-
ance.
If the refrigerator has been laid down dur-
ing transport, wait at least 4 hours with it
upright before starting it.
Press the switch to turn on/off the wine
cellar.
ADJUSTING THE TEMPERATURE
The temperatures shown on the LED displays are
the median temperatures.
Red digits - shows the median temperature in the
red wine compartment.
Green digits - shows the median temperature in
the white wine compartment.

ADJUSTING THE SIZE OF THE
COMPARTMENTS
The wine cellar is equipped with 11 adjustable slid-
ing shelves and 1 insulated separation shelf. The
separation shelf can hold 5 positions and this ena-
bles you to vary each of the compartment’s layout
from 4 - 8 shelves. The separation shelf separates
warm and cold air and creates two different tem-
perature zones that can be controlled independ-
ently. The size of the compartments can be ad-
justed between 1/3 and 2/3 of the total volume. The
gradient settings are the same independent of the
size of the compartments. Thus, in every space and
at any temperature setting, the temperature range is
the same.
STORING THE WINE
Wine bottles should ideally be stored horizontally
which will keep the wine inside the bottle in con-
tact with the cork keeping it moist, while prevent-
ing oxidation as well as the evaporation.
Keeping the labels upward makes it easier to see
the sediment formed on the opposite side of the
bottle when you open it.
Store a maximum of 12 bottles on each
shelf.
The middle 4 shelves only hold “Bour-
gogne” and “Bordeaux” style bottles.

To adjust the size of the compartments, follow
these steps:
Remove the separation shelf.
The separation damper is now visible at
the back of the compartment. Detach it by
removing the two screws.
Move the separation damper to its new
location. Fasten it properly using the two
screws removed earlier. (The rectangular
holes indicate where it is possible to place
the separation damper. Choose between 5
different positions.)
Put the separation shelf in place.
Then, check the sliding shelves. These
shelves are equipped with self-adhesive
plastic sealing strips. In order for the wine
cellar to work satisfactory, verify that
these strips cover the holes at the back of
the compartment completely.
The installation is now complete and you
can start using the service wine cellar.

USING THE SLATE SYSTEM
Enclosed you will nd a number of reusable mag-
netic strips. These can be attached to the front of
the shelves. Use the pen from the parts bag, a white
chalk or similar to enter suitable information about
your wines. You can write and rub out names as
often as you like.

CLEANING
Before cleaning, always switch off the wine
cabinet and pull out the plug!
Clean the wine cellar regularly. Only use a mild
detergent when cleaning the cabinet inside. Do not
use any abrasive or strong scented substances. Use
a smooth cloth or sponge. Remember to clean the
drain, making sure it is not blocked by something.
If the wine cellar fails to work, check the following points before calling for service:
Is the wine cellar switched on?
Is the plug properly inserted in its socket?
Are the controls set correctly?
Has the power been cut off?
If the cause of failure is not to be found among the points listed above, contact an authorised service
technician.

MAINTENANCE
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the cabinet is not to be used for more than 48
hours, the doors should be left open to allow airing.
To make the cooling system work at its optimum
it is necessary from time to time to clean the wire
grid covering the condenser and the compressor
at the back of the cabinet by means of a brush or
vacuum cleaner.
