BASIC RECORDING
1 Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the remote control or front panel to open the disc tray.
2 Insert a DVD+R or DVD+RW into the disc tray with the label side facing up.
3 Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the disc tray.
8 Use the RIGHT/LEFT arrow keys to highlight the
“Record Quality“ icon and press ENTER.
9 Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to select the desired
record quality, then press ENTER:
10 Press RECORD to start recording.
• To stop recording, press STOP.
• To pause recording, press PAUSE.
• To add recording time in 30-minute increments, press RECORD repeatedly.
• After recording has stopped, press MENU to view an Index of all titles (recordings) on the disc.
• To watch your recordings, use the ARROW keys to highlight the desired title and press PLAY.

Finalizing DVD+R Discs
DVD+RW discs are compatible with most other
DVD players. However, if you want your DVD+R
discs to be compatible with other DVD players, you
MUST finalize them:
1 Insert your DVD+R disc.
2 Press DISC OP. on the remote control.
3 Use the RIGHT/LEFT arrow keys to select
“FINAL”, then press ENTER.
• Disc finalization may take a few minutes to
complete.
• Once you have finalized a DVD+R, you
cannot record anything else on the disc.
• You can erase and rerecord a DVD+RW by
choosing “ERASE” from the menu.
