INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before using the appliance, remove all the packing materials, including the advertising labels
and any protective film.
Hob control knobs
The knobs for the gas rings are located on the side of the hob. The symbols on the control
zone have the following meaning:
no gas
max. gas
min. gas
lighting incorporated in the cock
Instructions for use
22
Lighting the rings
To obtain the flame more easily, light the ring before placing a pot/pan on the grate.
Press the knob corresponding to the ring and turn it anticlockwise to the “max.” symbol.
The lighting symbol ( ) is also located in this position. The flame will light automatically.
Do not operate the igniter for more than 15 seconds. If the burner is not lit after 15 seconds,
stop operating the igniter and wait at least 1 minute before trying to light it again.
After lighting the flame, keep the knob pressed for about 5 seconds. This time is necessary
for heating the “thermocouple” and deactivating the safety valve, which would otherwise
stop the delivery of gas.
Then make sure the flame is even and turn the knob to the required setting.
If the flame does not light after several attempts, make sure the “burner cap” and “flame
spreader” are in the correct position.

Always lower the flame or turn it off before removing pots/pans from the rings.
If the burner accidentally goes out, close the control knob and wait at least 1 minute before
relighting it.
23
For correct hob use
To ensure lower gas consumption and better efficiency, only use flat bottom pots/pans of
size suitable for the rings, as indicated in the table at the bottom of the page. Also, as soon
as a liquid starts to boil, lower the flame enough to keep it on the boil.
Carefully watch over your food during cooking with fats or oils, because these substances
can catch fire when very hot.
Do not use aluminium foil to protect the hob during use.
Make sure pots/pans do not protrude over the edges of the hob and that they are placed
centrally on the rings in order to obtain lower gas consumption.
Always lower the flame or turn it off before removing pots/pans from the rings.
Do not place unstable or deformed pots/pans on the rings: they could tip over or spill their
contents, causing accidents.
Pots must not occupy any part of the control zone.

The grates cannot be placed in a dishwasher; after washing by hand, make sure to correctly
refit them.
Electric igniter
Automatic lighting of the rings is ensured by a ceramic igniter containing a metal electrode.
Carefully clean these parts of the hob periodically. Also, to avoid difficult lighting make sure
the flame spreader holes are not clogged.
Periodical maintenance
Have the condition and efficiency of the gas pipe and the pressure regulator (if present)
periodically checked.

INSTALLER INSTRUCTIONS
ATTENTION: This appliance can only be installed and used in permanently ventilated places
in conformity with UNI 7129 and UNI 7131.
The manufacturer declines any liability for damage due to installation not complying with
the current standards or failure to respect the accident-prevention regulations.
Appliance installation and connection to the power supply must only be carried out by
QUALIFIED PERSONNEL. Before carrying out any operation, make sure the appliance is
DISCONNECTED from the power supply.
Installation room
For correct operation of the gas appliance, the air necessary for gas combustion must be
able to flow naturally in the room.
(The installer must comply with the current UNI-CIG 7129 - 7131 standards).
The air must flow into the room through openings made in the external walls.
These openings must have a free open section of at least 100 cm
2
if the appliance is equipped
with a safety device or 200 cm
2
if the appliance does not have a safety device.
This opening must be located near the floor, preferably on the opposite side to fume
extraction, and be made in such a way that it is not obstructed from the inside or outside.
If the opening cannot be made in the room where the appliance is installed, the necessary
air can come from an adjacent room, provided:
it is not a bedroom or a hazardous environment;
it is not in low pressure;
the ventilation between the room where the appliance is installed and the adjacent
room is ensured by means of permanent openings (UNI-CIG 7129).
26
Fume exhaust
Gas cooking appliances must exhaust the fumes through hoods directly connected to flues
or directly to the outside.
If a hood cannot be installed, it is necessary to use an electric exhaust fan fitted on the
external wall or the window of the room, provided conditions exist so that the opening for
ventilation can be increased in proportion to the fan capacity (UNI-CIG 7129).
The electric exhaust fan must be able to guarantee an hourly air change for a kitchen,
equal to 3-5 times its volume.
Gas connection
The gas connection must be carried out in compliance with UNI-CIG 7129 - 7131 standards.
The appliances leave the factory tested and adjusted for the type of gas specified on the
label located in the bottom protection, near the gas connection pipe. Make sure the type of
gas used is the same as that specified on the label.
Otherwise, proceed according to the instructions given in the section “Conversion to other
types of gas”.
To ensure maximum efficiency and minimum consumption, make sure the gas supply
pressure respects the values given in the “Burner specifications” table.
If the pressure of the gas used is different (or variable) with respect to that provided for, a
suitable pressure regulator for the gas (NOT LPG) complying with Standard UNI EN 88 must
be installed on the inlet piping.
The use of pressure regulators for liquefied gases (LPG) is allowed provided they comply
with Standard UNI EN 12864.
The union is fitted on the end part of the train, with a G 1/2" threaded nut, interposing the
seal between the components as shown in the figure. Screw the parts without forcing, turn
the union in the required direction, then tighten everything.

Conversion to other types of gas
Replacing nozzles
1. Remove the grates.
2. Remove the burner caps and flame spreaders from the rings.
3. Using a socket wrench, unscrew and remove the nozzles, replacing them with those
corresponding to the type of gas used (see “Burner specifications” table on page 25).
4. Refit the parts by carrying out the above operations in reverse order.
5. Then replace the label (located near the gas connection) with the one for the new
type of gas. The latter is included in the bag of injectors supplied.
If the pressure of the gas used is different (or variable) with respect to that provided for, a
suitable pressure regulator for ducted gas (NOT LPG) complying with Standard UNI EN 88
must be installed on the inlet piping.
The use of pressure regulators for liquefied gases (LPG) is allowed provided they comply
with Standard UNI EN 12864.
Minimum flame adjustment
To adjust the minimum flame, proceed as follows.
1. Light the ring as previously described.
2. Turn the cock to the min. flame position.
3. Extract the knobs.
