Subject: Compressor Inlet Check Valves & Bendix BX-2150
The compressor inlet check valve can be utilized when the compressor inlet is
connected to the vacuum side of the engine induction system or when an air strainer is
mounted directly to the compressor inlet. It must not be installed on compressors
with pressurized induction.
It is extremely important that inlet adapter 297871 be used when installing an inlet
check valve on the Bendix BX-2150 single cylinder air compressor. Failure to
install adapter 297871 will result in compressor damage and eventual failure.
