After delivery, immediately remove the packaging from the product in a manner that preserves the packaging and
maintainstheorientationoftheproductinthepackaging;theninspecttheproductcloselytodeterminewhether it
sustained damage during transport. If damage is discovered during the inspection, immediately record a complete
descriptionofthedamageonthebilloflading.Iftheproductisundamaged,discardthepackaging.

dangerous and no manual can address every conceivable risk. The enduser ultimately must exercise sound judgment at all
timestominimizetherisksassociatedwiththeuseofthisproduct.
Failure to read and understand the entire manual before assembling, installing, using and servicing the
product is a misuse of the product. If this product is used improperly or carelessly, the operator and/or bystanders might
sustainseriouspersonalinjuries.Toreducethelikelihoodofinjury:
DO NOT modify theproduct in any way UNLESS you first obtain written approval from Vestil. Unauthorized modifications
automaticallyvoidtheLimitedWarrantyandmight maketheproductunsafetouse.
Readthemanualwheneverthehandlemustbeinstalledordisconnected.
Readthemanualwheneverthereleasemechanismrequiresadjustment.
DONOTexceedthe2,200poundcapacity(alsoseeLabel287in“Labelplacementdiagram”onp.6).
Keepclearofthewheelsandforkswhileusingthepallettruck.
DONOTcontinuetousethepallettruckifyouobserveabnormalmotionorhearunusualnoiseswhileraising/loweringthe
forks or moving the truck. Immediately tag the unit “Out of service”. Restore the unit to normal operating condition before
returningittoservice.
DONOTattempttoresolveanyproblem(s)withtheproductunlessyouarebothauthorizedtodosoandcertainthatitwill
besafetouseafterwards.
DONOTusethisdeviceUNLESSallproductlabels(see“LabelPlacementDiagram”onp.5)arereadableandundamaged.

Releaseleveroperation:
Acontrolleverispartofthehandleassembly.Thecontrolleverhas3positions,eachofwhichcorrespondstoadifferent
functionasindicatedinthediagrambelow.Toraisetheforks,pushthecontrolleverdowntotheRAISEposition;thenmovethe
handleupanddown.Tolower
theforks,pullthecontrolleverup.ThecontrolleverreturnstotheDRIVEpositionautomatically
onceitisreleasedfromtheLOWERposition.

Step5. Liftthereleaseleveruntilthethreadedshaftcanslideintotheslotintheendofthelever.

Troubleshooting:
1. ControllevelintheDRIVEposition:
a. Iftheforkselevatewhilepumpingthehandleupanddown,thelocknut(seestep5above;fastenedtotheendofthe
threadedshaft)requiresadjustment.Turnthenutclockwise;thenpumpthehandleagaintodetermineiftheforks
still
rise.Continuetoturnthenutclockwiseuntiltheforksnolongerrise.
b. Ifpumpingthehandlecausestheforkstolower,turnthelocknutcounterclockwise.Turnthenutcounterclockwise
untiltheforksnolongerdescend.
2. ControlleverintheLOWERposition:
a. Iftheforks
donotlower,turnthelocknutclockwise.Turnthenutclockwiseuntiltheforkslower.
3. ControlleverintheRAISEposition:
a. Iftheforksdonotrisewhilepumpingthehandle,turnthenutcounterclockwise.Continuetoturnthenutuntilthe
forksriseproperly.

LIMITEDWARRANTY
Vestil Manufacturing Corporation (“Vestil”) warrants this SemiAutomatic Strapping Machine, model S2001 to be free of
defects in material and workmanship during the warranty period. Our warranty obligation is to provide a replacement for a
defective original part if the part is covered by the warranty, after we receive a proper request from the warrantee (you) for
warrantyservice.
Whomayrequestservice?
Only awarrantee may request service.Youare a warrantee if you purchasedthe productfrom Vestilor from an authorized
distributorANDVestilhasbeenfullypaid.
Whatisan“originalpart”?
Anoriginalpartisapartusedtomaketheproductasshippedtothewarrantee.
Whatisa“properrequest”?
A request for warranty service is proper if Vestil receives: 1) a photocopy of the Customer Invoice that displays the shipping
date; AND 2) a written request for warranty service including your name and phone number.Send requests by any of the

Inthewrittenrequest,listthepartsbelievedtobedefectiveandincludetheaddresswherereplacementsshouldbedelivered.
Whatiscoveredunderthewarranty?
AfterVestilreceivesyourrequestforwarrantyservice,anauthorizedrepresentativewillcontactyoutodeterminewhetheryour
claimiscoveredbythewarranty.Beforeprovidingwarrantyservice,Vestilmayrequireyoutosendtheentireproduct,orjust
the defective part or parts, to
its facility in Angola, IN. The warranty covers defects in the following original dynamic
components:motors,hydraulicpumps,electroniccontrollers,switchesandcylinders.Italsocoversdefectsinoriginalpartsthat
wearundernormalusageconditions(“wearingparts”),suchasbearings,hoses,wheels,seals,brushes,andbatteries.
Howlongisthewarrantyperiod?
The warranty period for original dynamic components is 90 days. For wearing parts, the warranty period is 90 days. The
warranty periods begin on the date when Vestil ships the product to the warrantee.If the product was purchased from an
authorizeddistributor,theperiodsbeginwhenthe distributor shipstheproduct.Vestilmay,at itssolediscretion,extendthe
warrantyperiodsforproductsshippedfromauthorizeddistributorsbyupto
30daystoaccountforshippingtime.
Ifadefectivepartiscoveredbythewarranty,whatwillVestildotocorrecttheproblem?
Vestilwillprovideanappropriatereplacementforanycoveredpart.AnauthorizedrepresentativeofVestilwillcontactyouto
discussyourclaim.
Whatisnotcoveredbythewarranty?
1. Labor;
2. Freight;
3. Occurrenceofanyofthefollowing,whichautomaticallyvoidsthewarranty:
Productmisuse;
Negligentoperationorrepair;
Corrosionoruseincorrosiveconditions;
Inadequateorimpropermaintenance;
Damagesustainedduringshipping;
Accidentsinvolvingtheproduct;
Unauthorizedmodifications:DONOTmodifytheproductINANYWAYwithoutfirstreceivingwrittenauthorization
fromVestil.Modification(s)mightmaketheproductunsafetouseormightcauseexcessiveand/orabnormalwear.
Doanyotherwarrantiesapplytotheproduct?
VestilManufacturingCorp.makes no other express warranties. All impliedwarrantiesaredisclaimedtotheextentallowedby
law.AnyimpliedwarrantynotdisclaimedislimitedinscopetothetermsofthisLimitedWarranty.
