anatomyofyourears.Theyareworndirectlyinthe

ear,eitherinthebowloftheearordeepinsidetheear

canal.Theyarenotintendedforchildrenundertheage

of3yearsorpersonswithadevelopmentalageofunder

3years.

Getting to know your hearing inruments

Itisrecommendedtofamiliarizeyourselfwithyournew

hearinginruments.Withtheinrumentsinyourhand

tryusingthecontrolsandnotetheirlocationonthe

inrument.Thiswillmakeiteasierforyoutofeeland

pressthecontrolswhilewearingthehearinginruments.

Youhavethefollowingoptionstoturnyourhearing

Viabatterycompartment:

Thedefaultvolumeandhearingprogramareset.

XTurningo:Openthebatterycompartmentfully.

Viapushbutton:

Afterturningon,thepreviouslyusedvolumeand

hearingprogramremainset.

Whenwearingthehearinginruments,analerttonecan

indicatewhenaninrumentisbeingturnedonoro.

Whenthepower-on delayisactivated,thehearing

inrumentsturnonafteradelayofseveralseconds.

Duringthistimeyoucaninsertthehearinginruments

intoyourearswithoutexperiencingunpleasantfeedback

whiling.

The"power-ondelay"canbeactivatedbyyourHearing

CareProfessional.



Inserting and removing the hearing inruments

Yourhearinginrumentshavebeenne-tunedforyour

rightandleftear.Thecolorofthelabelingonthehearing

inrumentsindicatestheside:

●blackorbluelabeling=leftear

Insertingahearinginrument:

XCarefullypushthehearing

inrumentintotheearcanal.

XTwiitslightlyuntil

itsitswell.

Openandcloseyourmouth

toavoidaccumulationofair

intheearcanal.

ForCIC/IICmodels:

XPayspecialattentiontotheremovalcordindicating

thebottom.



●Itmaybehelpfultoinserttherighthearing

inrumentwiththerighthandandtheleft

hearinginrumentwiththelefthand.

●Ifyouhaveproblemsinsertingtheearpiece,

usetheotherhandtogentlypullyourearlobe

downwards.Thisopenstheearcanaland

easesinsertionoftheearpiece.



Removingahearinginrument:

NOTICE

Neverpullonthebatterycompartmentdooror

volumecontrolwheeltoremovethehearing

inrument.Thiscoulddamageyourhearing

inrument.

XPushlightlyonthebackofyoureartoloosenthe

hearinginrument.

XIfyourhearinginrumentisequippedwitharemoval

cord,removethehearinginrumentbypullingthe

removalcordtowardsthebackofyourhead.

twongersandpullit

carefullyout.

Audio induction loops

Sometelephonesandpublicplacesliketheatresoerthe

audiosignal(musicandspeech)viaanaudioinduction

loop.Withthissyem,yourhearinginrumentscan

directlyreceivethedesiredsignal–withoutdiracting

noiseintheenvironment.

Youcanusuallyrecognizeaudioinduction

loopsyemsbycertainsigns.

Whetheratelecoilisbuiltintoyourhearinginrument

isliedinsection"Settings".Ifatelecoilisbuiltin,you

havethefollowingoptions.
