Thisequipmentcomplieswith Part68oftheFCCrules.Ontheleftsideoftheinteriorcardframe
(CoralIS,CoralI,andCoralIIsystems);orinsidethereardoorsontheleftsideofthecabinet
frame(CoralIIIcabinets)ofthisequipmentisalabel
thatcontains,amongotherinformation,the
FCCregistrationnumberandringerequivalencenumber(REN)forthisequipment.Ifrequested,
thisinformationmustbeprovidedtothetelephonecompany.
TheRENisusedtodeterminethequantityofdeviceswhichmaybeconnectedtothetelephone
line.ExcessiveREN’sonthetelephone
linemayresultinthedevicesnotringinginresponsetoan
incomingcall.Inmost,butnotallareas,thesumoftheREN’sshouldnotexceedfive(5.0).Tobe
certainofthenumberofdevicesthatmaybeconnectedtotheline,asdeterminedbythetotal
REN’scontactthetelephonecompanyto determinethemaximumRENforthe callingarea.
AnFCCcomplianttelephonecordandmodularplugisprovidedwiththisequipment.This
equipmentisdesignedtobeconnectedtothetelephonenetworkorpremiseswiringusinga
compatiblemodularjackwhichisPart68compliant.
This
equipmentcannotbeusedontelephonecompanyprovidedcoinservice.ConnectiontoParty
LineServiceissubjecttostatetariffs.
Ifthisequipmentcausesharmtothetelephonenetwork,thetelephonecompanywillnotifyyouin
advancethattemporarydiscontinuanceofservicemayberequired.Ifadvancenoticeisnot
practical,
thetelephonecompanywillnotifythecustomerassoonaspossible.Also,youwillbe
advisedofyourrighttofileacomplaintwiththeFCCif youbelieveitisnecessary.
Thetelephonecompanymaymakechangesinitsfacilities,equipment,operations,orprocedures
thatcouldaffecttheoperationof
theequipment.Ifthishappens,thetelephonecompanywill
provideadvancenoticeinorderforyoutomakethenecessarymodificationsinordertomaintain
uninterruptedservice.

Thisequipmentiscapableofprovidingusersaccesstointerstateprovidersofoperatorservices
throughtheuseofequalaccesscodes.Modificationsbyaggregatorstoalterthesecapabilitiesmay

TheCoralsystemgenerates,uses,andcanradiateradioenergy;and,ifnotinstalledinstrict
accordancewiththisinstallationmanual,maycauseharmfulinterferencetoradio
communications.
ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassAdigitaldevice,
pursuanttoSubpartJof
Part15ofFCCRules,whicharedesignedtoprovidereasonable
protectionagainstsuchinterferencewhenthisequipmentisoperatedinacommercial
environment.Operationofthisequipmentinaresidentialareaislikelytocauseunacceptable
interferencetoradioandTVreception,inwhichcasetheoperatorathisown
expensewillbe
requiredtotakewhatevermeasuresmaybenecessarytocorrecttheinterference.
ToensurecontinuedcompliancewithspecifiedradioenergyemissionslimitsofFCCRules,the
followingprecautionsmustbeobservedwhileinstallingandoperatingtheequipment:
1.Installtheequipmentinstrictaccordancewiththemanufacturersinstructions.
2.
VerifythatthepowersupplyandassociatedA.C.poweredequipmentareconnectedtoa
properlygroundedelectricalsupply,andthatpowercords,ifused,areunmodified.
3.Verifythatthesystemgrounding,includingMasterGround,D.C.powersystem,and
equipmentcabinets,isinaccordancewiththemanufacturersinstructionsandconnectedto
anapprovedearthgroundsource.
4.Alwaysreplacethefactorysuppliedcoverorkeepthe cabinetdoorsclosedwhennot
servicingtheequipment.
5.Makenomodificationtotheequipmentthatwouldaffectitscompliancewiththespecified
limitsofFCCRules.
6.Maintaintheequipmentinasatisfactorystateofrepair.
7.Verifythatemissionslimitingdevices,suchasferriteblocksandradiofrequency
interferencemodules,areproperlyinstalledandfunctional.

TheTadiranEmeraldIntegrated CommunicationExchange,(ICE)isaversatile,Digital
HybridKeyTelephoneSystemthatincludesmanyadvancedfeatures.Itis
designedtomeetthetelecommunicationsneedsofsmalltomediumbusiness
offices.
TheEmeraldICEisafullydigitalhybridkeytelephonesystem.Utilizing“Loop
Start”central
office(TelephoneCompany)lineinterfacesinconjunctionwith
analoganddigitalextensionports,itprovidesofficecommunicationsand
connectivitytothePublicSwitchedTelephoneNetwork(PSTN).
TheEmeraldICEoffersaplethoraofofficeproductivityfeaturesandtelephone
