B.ChargingtheBatteryandCheckingtheBatteryLevel
Beforeusingforthefirsttime,chargethegripthroughthepowerportusingapowercable
(included)andaUSBadapter(notincluded).Itisrecommendedtousea5V/2AUSBadapter.
Duringchargingandusage,thebatterylevelindicatorsindicatethebatterylevel.Whennot
charging,pressthebatterylevelbuttontocheckthebatterylevel.

Insertthegimbalintothegripasshown.Ensuretheleverisintheunlockedposition,andthe
toggletothelockedpositionafterattaching.
Toremovethegrip,togglethelevertotheunlockedpositon,anddetachthegripwhilepressing
downthedetachbutton.
Thegimbalisfoldedbydefault.Togglethetiltlock,rolllockandpanlocktotheunlockedpositon,
andthenadjustthegimbalpositonasshown,lockthethreeaxesagain.

DJIRS2needstobeactivatedthroughtheRoninappbeforeusingforthefirsttime.
1. Pressandholdthepowerbuttontopoweronthegimbal.
2. EnableBluetoothonyourmobiledeviceandlaunchtheRoninapp.NotethataDJIaccountis
requiredtolaunchtheRoninapp.OncedetectedinthelistofBluetoothdevices,selectDJIRS
2andinputthedefaultBluetoothpassword:12345678.Makesureyouareconnectedtothe
internetandfollowtheonscreeninstructionstoactivateDJIRS2.
MountingtheCamera
MakesuretopreparethecamerabeforemountingittoDJIRS2.Removethelenscapandmake
surethebatteryandmemorycardareinsertedinthecamera.
1. AttachtheUpperQuickReleasePlate.
Thecameralensandthearrowonthebottomoftheupperquickreleaseplatemustfacethe
samedirection.Attachtheupperquickreleaseplatetothecamerabytighteningthescrew.
*Riserplateisrequiredwhenusingafocusmotor.
2. AttachtheLowerQuickReleasePlateandlenssupport.
ToggletheleverontheLowerQuickReleasePlatetotheunlockedpositionandtheninsert
thecamera,togglethelevertothelockpositonafterengaged.Attachthelenssupporttothe
lowerquickreleaseplate,andbindthestraptothecameralens.
Toremovethecamerafromthelowerquickreleaseplate,togglethelevertotheunlocked
position,andremovethecamerawhilepressingthesafetylockbesidethelever.
3. Attachthecameratothegimbal.
Toggletheleveronthecameramountingplatetotheunlockedpositon,andinsertthelower
quickreleaseplate.Tog g l e thelevertothelockpositionwhencameraachievearough
balance.
Toremovethelowerquickreleaseplate,togglethelevertotheunlockedposition,andremove
thelowerquickreleaseplatewhilepressingthesafetylockonthemountingplate.
4. Connectthecameracontrolcable.
Chooseapropercameracontrolcableaccordingthecameratype.Plugoneendofthecable 连接
intotheRSSportofthegimbalandplugtheotherendintothecamera.
Balancing
Balancingisrequiredbeforeshooting.Beforebalancing,makesuretopoweronthecameraif
usinganopticalzoomlensandtoselectthefocallengthifusingavarifocallens.MakesureDJIRS
2ispoweredofforinsleepmodebeforebalancing.
1. Balancingtheverticaltilt
a. Unlockthetiltaxis,andloosenthemountingplateknob.
b. Rotatethetiltaxissothatthecameralensispointingupward.Checktomakesurethe
cameraisnottoporbottomheavy.Iftopheavy,movethecamerabackward.If
bottomheavy,movethecameraforward.
c.Tightentheknob.Theverticaltiltisbalanceduntilthecameraissteadywhilepointing
upward.
2. Balancingdepthforthetiltaxis
a. Rotatethetiltaxissothatthecameralensispointingforward.Togglethelevertothe
unlockedposition.
b. Checktomakesurethecameraisnotfrontorbackheavy.Iffrontheavy,movethe
camerabackwardbyturningtheknob.Ifbackheavy,movethecameraforward.
c. Togglethelevertothelockedpositon.TheTiltaxisisbalancedifthecameraissteady
whiletiltingupordownfor45degrees.
d. Lockthetiltaxis.
3. Balancingtherollaxis
a. Unlocktherollaxis.To g gletheleverontherollarmtotheunlockedpositon.
b. Checkthedirectioninwhichtherollmotorswings.Ifthecamerarotatestotheleft,
movethecameratotheright.Ifthecamerarotatestotheright,movethecameratothe
left.
c. Toggletheleverontherollarmtothelockedpositon.Therollaxisisbalancedifthe
cameraissteady.
d.Locktherollaxis.
4. Balancingthepanaxis
a. Unlockthepanaxis.Toggletheleveronthepanarmtotheunlockedpositon.
b. Holdthegrip,tiltDJIRS2forward,andadjustthepanarmtoparalleltoyou.Checkthe
movementofthepanaxis.Ifthecameralensrotatestotheleft,pushthepanaxistothe
right.Ifthecameralensrotatestotheright,pushthepanaxistotheleft.
c. Toggletheleveronthepanarmtothelockedpositon.Thepanaxisisbalancedifthe
cameraissteadywhenrotatingthepanwhileliftingthegrip.
