INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
GMR4-WW-X
NOTE: FIXTURE IS FOR INDOOR USE ONLY. DO NOT
INSTALL IN AN APPLICATION THAT IS OUTSIDE OF THE
PRODUCTS LISTED AMBIENT TEMPERATURE AND IN
AN AREA THAT IS NOT EASILY ACCESSED FOR SERVICE
REQUIREMENTS. USE MAGNETIC DRIVER ONLY.
1. DRILL A 1-5/8” DIAMETER HOLE. This will
fit the aperture of the fixture housing and be large
enough to enable spring clips to hold fixture tight
against ceiling. (FIG. 1) Note that fixture height is
1-1/4”. Make sure there is ample clearance around
lamp, and that no combustible material is close to
fixture.
2. CONNECTING FIXTURE TO POWER. Connect
wires from magnetic 12VDC remote LineDRIVE* or
compatible power supply to leads (48” supplied - trim
to needed length) from GMR4 fixture (FIG. 2). Striped
lead is positive (+). Feed 12V leads from power
supply through top knock-out using properly listed
conductors and cord grommets or conduit connectors
(by others). Wire in parallel for multiple fixtures.
*Make sure to use GM Lighting LineDRIVE™ Power
Supply so as not to void 5-year product warranty.
3. INSTALL FIXTURE INTO CEILING:
Using your fingers, compress springs while inserting
fixture up into ceiling hole. Spring clips will capture
ceiling, holding fixture firmly in place. Adjust gimbel
by twisting it. (FIG. 3).
4. DIMMING:
Your GMR4 is compatible with the following dimmers.
Consult dimmer manufacturers installation instruc-
tions for details on hook up (FIG. 4).
