XII. Warranty
The product is guaranteed to be  t for purpose and free from defects for a period of 24
months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this warranty period will be
repaired or replaced under Australian consumer law.
Proof of Purchase
This warranty is valid for the original purchase only and is not transferable. Please keep
your purchase docket or receipt as proof of purchase and as proof of the date on which
the purchase was made. The purchase docket or receipt must be presented with the
product when making a claim under this warranty.
Service during the warranty period
If being returned, please ensure the product is properly packaged so as to ensure that no
damage occurs to the product during transit. Also make sure that you have included an
explanation of the fault.
Extent of Warranty
This warranty does not cover manuals, packaging,  lters, bags, seals or other accessories.
This warranty does not cover batteries or any other consumable item.

Return the faulty product with proof of purchase to the original place of purchase or
contact Winplus Australia via www.winplus.com.au.
Normal Wear and Tear
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of the product or parts.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
• Any defect caused by lack of reasonable care, unauthorised modi cation or
attempted repair by an unauthorised person.
• Any product that has not been installed, operated or maintained in accordance with
the instructions provided with the product.
• Any product that has been used for purposes other than domestic use.
• If the product is located outside Australia or New Zealand.

Warranty Details
Great care has gone into the manufacture of this product and it should therefore
provide you with years of good service when used properly. In the event of product
failure within its intended use over the course of the first 2 years from date of
purchase, we will remedy the problem as quickly as possible once it has been

1 14XI. Troubleshooting
No Light On / No Display
• Check that the power is switched on at the power outlet.
No Sound
• Check that the volume control is not set to the minimum setting.
• Check that the device is not set to “MUTE”. Press “mute on the remote
to unmute the Micro Hi Fi.
• Check that the speakers are plugged into the Micro Hi Fi.
FM Radio Reception is Poor
• Adjust the position of the antenna to get the best signal reception.
Make sure that the antenna is extended to full length.
• Check the radio is correctly tuned into a radio station with a clear signal.
AM Radio Reception is Poor
• Adjust the position of the antenna to get the best signal reception.
Try rotating the antenna to gain better reception.
• The antenna should be placed away from electrical devices such as computers,
refrigerators, power tools or wiring. The antenna should point in the direction of
the transmitter and be positioned to minimise the eect of obstructions such as
trees and buildings.
• Check the radio is correctly tuned into a local radio station with a clear signal.
• Place the antenna as far from the Micro Hi Fi as possible.
Erratic Functioning
• Try the above solutions, and if nothing works, reset the software by unplugging
the unit. Leave the unit unplugged for 2 minutes, and then plug in and switch on.
Remote Control wont work
• Make sure there are no obstacles obscuring the front of the Micro Hi Fi.
• Check if the battery in the remote control needs replacement. The remote control
uses 2 AAA batteries for correct operation.
• Check polarity (+/–)of the batteries

Alarm clock function
The alarm clock allows the system to turn on automatically and wake you up using the
CD, radio, or iPhone / iPod.
Setting the alarm time
1. Ensure the Micro Hi Fi is in standby mode.
2. Press the “timer” button (2) for 2 seconds to activate the alarm setting mode.
3. The screen will now display the rst two digits of the alarm time ashing.
Use skip up and skip down to set the hour for the alarm. Press the “timer
button to conrm.
4. The screen will display the second two digits of the alarm time ashing.
Use skip up and skip down to set the minutes for the alarm.
Press the “timer button to conrm.
5. The screen will display the alarm source ashing. Use skip up and skip
down to set the alarm source. Press the “timer button to conrm.
6. The screen will display the alarm volume ashing. Use skip up and skip
down to set the alarm volume. Press the “timer button to conrm.
7. The alarm will play the selected input at the chosen time.
8. To switch o the alarm, press standby (5).
If there is no input from the selected source when the alarm sounds, it will default to play
the radio.
Activating the alarm function.
1. To active the alarm function, press the “timer button (2) repeatedly until the timer
indicator “ is shown on LCD display.
2. To cancel the alarm function, press the “timer button (2) repeatedly until the timer
indicator “ disappears.
Built in sound equaliser function
The Micro Hi Fi provides 5 dierent sound modes to enhance your listening experience.
You can select the desired eect by pressing the preset eq ” button (9) repeatedly to
choose from the following equaliser options:

For correct use and safe operation of this product, please read this manual and safety
information carefully and follow all instructions. This product is approved to Australian
standards. Internal manipulation of this product or any modication to this product is
forbidden, due to safety, security and electrical authority approval issues.
If this product is used improperly or if you have opened, altered and repaired the product
yourself, all warranties expire. The warranty is limited to defects in workmanship and
parts. The supplier does not accept responsibility for any consequential loss or damage.
Young children should use the device only under adult supervision. No guarantee or
liability will be accepted for any damage caused due to incorrect use of the equipment
supplied, other than indicated in this owners manual and the included warranty card.

Repeat playback
Press the repeat (16) or random (18) button to perform the repeat playback function for
your iPhone / iPod.
Charging
When your iPod or iPhone is docked on the unit, the battery will begin charging.
IX. Playing from Auxiliary input
Connect another audio device to the Micro Hi Fi via a cable with 3.5mm jack plug (not
supplied). You may wish to connect an mp3 player, portable cassette player or computer
input.
1. Connect one end of this cable to the headphone jack on the external device and the
other end to the aux-in jack (23) on the side of the Micro Hi Fi.
2. Press function button (6) to select auxiliary mode. The LCD display will show AUX”.
3. The Micro Hi Fi will play the input from the connected auxiliary device.
X. Advanced use
Sleep function
Set the timer for your music to stop playing after a given time.
1. Press the sleep button (9) and the sleep indicator will be displayed on the LCD.
2. Keep pressing the sleep button to adjust the sleep timer. The number of minutes
playing time before switching o will be displayed on the LCD screen. You can set
the timer for up to 90 minutes.
3. When the desired time delay is displayed on the screen, do not press any more
buttons. The system will return to regular playback.
4. The Micro Hi Fi will stop playback and enter standby mode automatically after the
selected time is up.
5. To cancel the sleep function, press “sleep button until the “sleep“ indicator
disappears from the LCD display.
6. To check how many minutes remain on the sleep timer, press the sleep button
once, and the remaining time is displayed on the screen.

II. Product use
The Micro Hi Fi with iPod dock will provide great sound when playing your choice of
iPod, iPhone, radio, CD, or an auxiliary input. The built in equaliser allows you to choose
from 5 preset sound modes so you can experience optimised sound performance.
The included remote control lets you control the music, all without leaving the sofa.

Insert your iPod / iPhone as shown in the diagram.
Take care
• To prevent damage to the dock connector, don’t twist the iPod or iPhone when
inserting or removing it.
• Be careful not to knock over the iPod or iPhone when inserted into the Micro Hi Fi.
• When docking your iPod or iPhone, don’t use with any other accessories, such as
FM transmitters or microphones.
• For extra stability, you may wish to use a dock adaptor tting (not included).
Playback
1. Press function button (6) to select iPod mode. The LCD display will show the icon.
2. The Micro Hi Fi will start playback automatically or you can press (15) to start
playback manually.
3. Press the skip up or down button (13, 19) to select the desired music track
within the current playlist.
4. Adjust volume up/down (8, 4) to the desired volume level.
iPod control function keys (by remote control)
You are able to control the iPod or iPhone by remote control, using the
“i-menu buttons. Make sure your iPod is unlocked and in iPod mode.
• Use the i-menu” button to control the iPod / iPhone menu function.
• Use the i-scroll” buttons to scroll up and down on your iPod / iPhone.
• Use the i-enter” button to control the enter function of your iPod / iPhone.

Random play mode
Press the “random button (20) during playback to activate the random play function.
All the tracks on the disc will be played in a random order. The LCD display will show the
“ran” indicator. Press the “random button again to cancel this function.
CD programming
Up to 20 tracks can be programmed to play from a CD in any order.
1. Select CD mode, and ensure the CD is stopped.
2. Press the “mem/clk-adj” button (12) and “mem will appear on the LCD screen.
3. Select the desired track by pressing skip up or down button (13, 19).
4. Press the “mem/clk-adj” button (12) to store the track into memory.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to enter additional tracks into the memory in the order that you
wish them to be played.
6. When all the desired tracks have been programmed, press “play/pause button
(15) to play the tracks in the desired order.
7. Press “stop (11) to clear all tracks from stored memory.

V. Setup
Prepare your Micro Hi Fi for desktop use
1. Ensure the stand is securely fastened to the speakers and the Micro Hi Fi.
2. Place the speakers and Micro Hi Fi upright on the desk.
Preparing your Micro Hi Fi for wall mounted use
1. Use a screwdriver to remove the stand from the speakers and the Micro Hi Fi.
2. Use the wall mounting template to make anchor hole marks on the wall. Use a spirit
level (not included) to ensure the template is level when marking the anchor holes.
3. Use a drill to make ¼” drill bit to make holes where your anchor marks are.
4. Insert the plastic anchors supplied with the Micro Hi Fi, making sure that they are
ush with the wall.
5. Insert the screw into the plastic anchor, and tighten until the screw head is about
4mm away from the wall.
6. Hang the Micro Hi Fi on the screws, as indicated in the Diagram B.

Hints for best reception
• The Micro Hi Fi has a built in FM wire antenna (21). This wire should be unravelled
and fully extended for the best FM reception.
• If FM stereo signal is being received, the stereo indicator will be displayed
on the LCD screen. When a mono signal is received, *ST* will not be displayed.
• In areas of poor reception, you may wish to switch to FM mono mode. Press the
st/mo button (15) to switch between stereo mode and mono mode.
• The Micro Hi Fi comes with an AM loop antenna. Connect the AM antenna to the
AM socket (22) on the side of the Micro Hi Fi. If AM reception is poor, rotate and
reposition the loop antenna to improve the reception.
• Position both AM and FM antenna as far from the Micro Hi Fi as possible to reduce
the chance of electronic interference.
• AM reception may be improved by placing the antenna as high as possible, such as
on top of a bookshelf or entertainment unit.
• Radio reception may vary according to the signal strength in your local area.
VII. Using the CD player
Getting Started
1. Press function button (6) to select CD mode.
2. Press open/close” button (17) to open the CD compartment.
3. Place a CD with the printed side facing towards you inside the compartment.
4. Close the CD compartment by pressing the open/close” button (17) again.
5. The LCD screen will display the total number of tracks & total playing time.
6. Use the following controls to play the CD.
- Play and Pause (15)
- Stop playback (11)
- Skip forward track (13)
- Skip backward track (19)
Repeat play mode
Press the “repeat button (16) during playback to select the repeat or random function.
Pressing the “repeat button several times allows you to cycle through the following
functions::
(ashing) – Repeat a single track
– Repeat entire CD
(no icon) – No repeat

Cable setup
1. Connect the left and right speaker wires to the speaker jacks on the side of the
Micro Hi Fi. (24)
2. Plug in the AM antenna loop to the right side of the Micro Hi Fi. (22)
3. Unravel the FM antenna to full length.(21)
4. Position the AM and FM antennas away from the Micro Hi Fi to reduce the chance
of interference.
5. Peel o the protective layer of lm over the screen and front panel of the Micro Hi Fi.
6. Connect the power cord to the DC power socket (25) and the power outlet,
and then switch the power outlet on.
Setting the time
2 SEC
A. In standby mode, press and hold the CLK-ADJ.
B. Scroll between 12 HR or 24 HR format, then press CLK-ADJ to conrm.
C. Scroll to set the hour, then press CLK-ADJ to conrm.
D. Scroll to set the minutes, then press CLK-ADJ to conrm.
Note: The time will be reset completely if the power is disconnected from the mains
power supply.
Note: The clock set mode will reset if there is 3 seconds of inactivity.
VI. Using the radio
Manual tuning
1. Press function button (6) to select “tuner mode.
2. Press “random button (18) to select desired band (AM or FM).
3. Tune to the required station by pressing the tune “+” or “−” button (19, 13).
Auto tuning
1. Press function button (6) to select “tuner mode.
2. Press “random button (18) to select desired band (AM or FM).
3. Press and hold the tune “+” or “−” button (19, 13) for 1-2 seconds and then release.
4. The unit will start seeking automatically and stop when a radio station is reached.
5. Repeat step 3 & 4 until the desired radio station has been reached.
6. Adjust volume up/down button (8, 4) to the desired volume level.
Preset stations
You can store up to 20 radio stations in the memory (10 AM and 10 FM).
1. Press function button (6) to select “tuner mode.
2. Turn to the desired radio station. (See manual tuning instructions, above)
3. Press “mem/clk-adj ” button (12) to activate the memory programming function.
“Mem indicator is show on LCD display.
4. Press up “pre-up” or “pre-dn button (15, 16) to select the desired memory number.
5. Press “mem/clk-adj” button (12) again to conrm the memory number.
6. Repeat step 2 to 5 to store other stations. You can overwrite a preset station by
storing another frequency in its place.
7. Play any of your preset stations by pressing the up “pre-up button (15) or “pre-dn
button (16) when in radio playback mode. This will cycle through your 10 presets.
Note: The preset stations will be reset completely if the power is disconnected from the
mains power supply.
