Pressing Reset again will store the 3V, and turn the Top Middle LED Green.
Pressing Reset again will store the values for OUT 1, turning the Bottom Middle LED Green.
Pressing Reset again will store the values for OUT 2, and turn the bottom most LED Green.
Once the OUT 2 value is stored, Bloom will automatically save and exit calibration mode,
and return to the normal operating mode.
In the event that the module seems really out of calibration, or the outputs are not
changing while the LEDs do change, you can reset to the default calibration values by
clicking either the Ratchet or Note encoder for each channel.
Updating Firmware
There are two hardware versions of Bloom. Both function the exact same, but require differ-
ent methods for firmware updates. Please examine your Bloom’s PCB color to determine
which set of instructions to follow.
For Black PCB Blooms: Your module is on the most current firmware, and does not need
to be updated. If a new update is released for Bloom, you will find the update file on the
Bloom product page, along with instructions on how to update.
For Green PCB Blooms: To update the firmware on the bloom, hold the Reset Button while
powering the module on.
The LEDs will all begin to blink blue to indicate that it is waiting for a firmware update.
Playback the firmware .wav file into the RATE CV input.
Make sure that no other sounds play during the process otherwise it will fail.
A successful update will change the LEDs to Green, and briefly to white. Once complete
the module will automatically enter the new version of the firmware.
If the LEDs begin to blink red at any point, you can reset the audio file to the beginning, and
press the Reset button to reset the bootloader.
If the update fails multiple times, adjust the level of the audio going into the Bloom’s Rate
CV jack.
