Niche
In order to calculate the total niche dimension for installation of
two or more appliances, the following elements are to be consi-
dered:
· Lateral connecting kit (6,5 mm - 1/4” in)
· Central connecting kit (13 mm - 1/2” in)
· Lateral connecting kit (6,5 mm - 1/4” in)
The joining kit is positioned between two units to secure them
together.

2. SPACE DESIGN
2.1.6 Built-in installation appliances separated by wall or panel
If the design of the kitchen unit provides for the installation of two
adjacent appliances, but separated by an in-between panel (or wall or
cavity) of a thickness below 16 cm (6 1/4 in), then the installation can
be done as it were two single installations. It is required, however,
that an anticondensation panel (KAC16) is placed on the facing sides
of the appliances. If the in-between panel (or wall or cavity) has a
thickness higher than 16 cm (6 1/4 in) then this precaution is not
required.

4.3 Top grill X-Pro series
The models of the Integrated and Classic series have the opportunity
to be placed one or more built using the Built-In side covers and the
dashboard in stainless steel (code KI00000000), thereby keeping all
in line with the existing structure.
The dashboards are available in different widths for individual instal-
lations and installations for multiple units side by side.
In the case of combination of two units of the X-Pro you can request
the option of the top grill and the front kick plate only up to the maxi-
mum of 180 cm.
You can ask the viability of larger sizes and costs.

4.1 Free-standing kit (S Integrated and K Classic series)
All models of the Integrated series can be installed as built-in or fre-
estanding, using the free-standing kit (cod. ES00000000) to frame the
single unit or combination of units with an all-stainless steel portal
composed of two side panels and one top.
While the two side panels are available in standard dimension, the top
element can be customized to fit combinations of two or more ele-
ments.

5.1.2 Electrical and water supply behind the unit
5.1.3 Energy: Alternatives and Home Automation
If energy is supplied through an alternative energy power source
(solar, geothermal, etc..) or if home automation systems are installed,
it is necessary to install the Alternative Energy Kit to integrate the
unit into the power grid.

5. TECHNICAL INFO
5.1 Electrical and Water connections
Accessories for power supply, earthed plug and cable, are included
with the shipment of the appliance; a separate electric circuit with a
220V AC, 50Hz power supply is required.
Models with Ice Maker or water dispenser must be connected to the
water piping system through the plastic tube supplied with the
appliance. The installation of a water closing valve is recommended
in an easily accessible area allowing closure of the refrigerator circu-
it separately from the general water circuit.
The Ice Maker operates with a water pressure ranging between 2.2
bar and 7.8 bar. Should an independent or centralised water filtering
system be already installed, Fhiaba’s filtering system can be bypas-
sed by removing the filter cartridge.
A Schuko 16 A socket with an efficient grounding should be made
available for the electrical mains connection, as well as an omnipolar
switch which can easily be reached when the appliance is installed.
To connect to the water supply system (for appliances equipped with
ice makers) a tap with a male 3/4” connection should be provided,
which must also be easily accessible once the appliance is installed.
The appliance is provided with a water supply hose and seal kit which
is suitable for high water pressure and complies the Food Regulations.
The water filter cartridge, which is provided with the appliance,
should be installed according to the accompanying instructions.
Use only the new hose and the new gaskets which are supplied with
the appliance. Discard any hose and gasket which may have already
been installed.

Once the appliance has been connected to the water system,
turn the Ice Maker off (touch the button
on control panel to
switch it off) before the main water is shut off.
The appliance should be connected only to a drinkable water sup-
ply system.
The Built-in Fhiaba filter cannot make it safe to drink any wa-
ter which is not suitable for human consumption.

6. VENTILATION
6.1 Front plinth and ventilation
A forced air system assures ventilation through a grille positioned in
the lower front part of the unit. If the kitchen design includes a
kickplate, the latter has to be punched in order to maintain a satisfac-
tory air flow, as described in the drawing.
Holes can be in any shape and size, as long as the total area of the
punched part equals 50% of the kickplate are.
In this case, to guarantee a better air flow, it is advisable to remove
the front grille included with the unit. The grille is secured to the unit
with magnetic plates and can be easily removed even by the end
user, to provide for regular cleaning procedures and remove dust.
If the grille is partially covered by the kitchen kickplate, it is advisable
to remove the grille in order to provide for a better airflow.
The air intake and outlet must not be blocked or covered in any way.
They also need to be dusted/cleaned on a regular basis.
Ventilation is insured by a forced air system through a grille located
in the upper part of the appliance.
This grille should never be covered by panels or any other devices
that could reduce its efficiency.
Please refer to page 5-6 to ensure correct air circulation.

Standard Anti-Tipping Kit B04000200
5. TECHNICAL INFO
5.2 Anti - tipping system
To prevent the appliance from tipping over, is necessary to install the
supplied “Standard Anti-tipping Kit” which allows the mounting of the
appliance at a maximum distance of 53 mm (2 in) from the rear wall
of the installation area.
If the refrigerator is to be installed within units deeper than 67 cm
(26,3 in), the “Extra Length Anti-tipping Kit” can be ordered (cod.
B04000900) separately, allowing the installation in structures up to
80 cm (31,4 in) deep.
In case of deeper structures a wooden plynth must be used to con-
nect the anti-tipping bracket to the rear wall of the installation area.
