5 Installing

Notes!
Do not install the sensor above radiators, near windows or doors, on surfaces that are
exposed to strong vibrations or direct sunlight, on exterior walls, on chimneys, or in a
wall or alcove.
Protect the sensors from dripping water or spray.
No air currents must be allowed to reach the inside of the housing through the in-wall
cable feed.
Do not use any silicone sealing compound to seal the cable feed.
The sensors must be installed so that the ambient air can flow freely through the air
slots in the housing cover from the bottom towards the top.

Maintenance and ambient conditions
If the circulating air is clean, the measuring element is maintenance-free. However, aggressive or
solvent-containing media (depending on type and concentration) can cause measurement errors or
failure. Condensates that form a water-repellent film over the sensor are harmful; these could be
caused, for example, by resin aerosols, lacquer aerosols, fumigants, etc.
