Simulatormode

TheSimulatormodeenablesyoutopracticeoperatingyourdisplay

withoutdatafromaGPSantenna,radarscanner,AISunit,or

shnder.

Thesimulatormodeisswitchedon/offintheSystemSetupMenu.

Note:RaymarinerecommendsthatyoudoNOTusethe

simulatormodewhilstnavigating.

Note:ThesimulatorwillNOTdisplayanyrealdata,includingany

Thehomescreenprovidesacentralpointofaccesstoyourdisplay’s

rangeofapplications.

•Thehomescreenalsoprovidesquickaccesstoyourdata

(waypoints,routes,andtracks).

•T oaccessthehomescreen,holdtheMENUbuttonfor3seconds.

Alternatively,selecttheon-screenHomeicon.

•Thehomescreenconsistsofanumberofapplication"pages",

eachrepresentedbyanicon.Applicationscanbestartedby

selectingtherelevantpageicon.

•Usethejoystickorswipethescreenwithyourngertoscrollthe

homescreenandaccessadditionalapplicationpages.

YourmultifunctiondisplayfeaturesHybridtouch,whichenablesyou

tooperatetheunitusingthetouchscreenandthephysicalkeys.

Manycommonfunctionscanbeaccessedusingthetouchscreen.

However,theremaybesituations(suchasroughseaconditions)

whenitisnotappropriatetousethetouchscreen.Inthesesituations,

Raymarinestronglyrecommendsthatyouactivatethetouchlock

andusethephysicalkeystooperateyourmultifunctiondisplay.

Thetouchscreenprovidesaquickwayofperformingmanycommon

functions.

Fishnderapplication—withatransducerand

a“D”variantmultifunctiondisplayorcompatible

DigitalSounderModule(DSM),youcanusethe

shnderapplicationtohelpyouaccuratelydistinguish

betweendifferentsizesofsh,bottomstructure,and

underwaterobstacles.Youcanalsoviewseadepth

andtemperaturedataandmarkpointsofinterestsuch

asshingspotsorwrecks.

Radarapplication—withasuitableradarscanner,

youcanusetheradarapplicationtotracktargets

andmeasuredistancesandbearings.Anumberof

automaticgainpresetsandcolormodesareprovided

tohelpyougetthebestperformancefromyourradar

scanner.

Dataapplication—viewsystemandinstrumentdata

onyourmultifunctiondisplay,forarangeofcompatible

instruments.Usethejoystickortouchscreentoscroll

throughtheavailabledatapages.

Weatherapplication—(NorthAmericaonly).Witha

suitableweatherreceiverconnectedtoyoursystem,

Alarms

Alarmsalertyoutoasituationorhazardrequiringyourattention.

Youcansetupalarmstoalertyoutocertainconditions,suchas

collisionwarningsandtemperaturelimits.

Alarmsareraisedbysystemfunctions,andalsoexternalequipment

connectedtoyourmultifunctiondisplay.

Whenanalarmsoundsamessagedialogisdisplayedonyour

multifunctiondisplayandanynetworkeddisplays.Thedialogstates

thereasonforthealarm.

Youcancongurethebehaviorofcertainalarmsbyselectingthe

EditoptiononthemessagedialogorbyusingtheAlarmsmenu,

accessiblefromthehomescreenviatheSet-Upicon.

Manoverboard

Ifyouloseapersonorobjectoverboard,youcanusetheMan

Overboard(MOB)functiontomarkthepositionthatthevesselwas

atwhentheMOBfunctionwasactivated.

TheMOBfunctionisavailableatalltimes,regardlessofwhich

applicationisrunning.MOBcanbesettoDeadReckoningor

Positionmode.DeadReckoningmodewilltakeintoconsideration

theeffectsofwindandtides.Thisusuallyprovidesamoreaccurate

course.Positionmodedoesnottakethesefactorsintoaccount.

ToobtainaMOBposition,yourmultifunctiondisplaymusthave

aGPSpositionx.Alternatively,ifyou’reusingdeadreckoning,

headingandspeeddatamustbeavailable.

WhenMOBisactivated:

•AnaudibleMOBalarmissounded.

•AnMOBalarmdialogboxisdisplayed.

•ThesystemsendsMOBalarmstootherRaymarineequipment.

navigationfunctioniscancelled.
