Overboard(MOB)functiontomarkthepositionthatthevesselwas
atwhentheMOBfunctionwasactivated.
TheMOBfunctionisavailableatalltimes,regardlessofwhich
applicationisrunning.MOBcanbesettoDeadReckoningor
Positionmode.DeadReckoningmodewilltakeintoconsideration
theeffectsofwindandtides.Thisusuallyprovidesamoreaccurate
course.Positionmodedoesnottakethesefactorsintoaccount.
ToobtainaMOBposition,yourmultifunctiondisplaymusthave
aGPSpositionx.Alternatively,ifyou’reusingdeadreckoning,
headingandspeeddatamustbeavailable.
