Installation
 Unpackallpartsandremoveprotectivematerial.
 Donotconnecttheunittothemainsbeforecheckingthemainvoltageandbeforeallotherconnectionshave
beenmade.

 Do not cover any vents and make sure that there is a space of several centimeters around the unit for
ventilation.
ACConnection
1. ConnecttheoneendofthedetachablepowercordtotheACsocket(21)andtheotherendtotheACoutlet.
2. Whenyoufirstplugtheunitintothemains,theunitwillgointostandbymode.
PresstheOn/Standbybutton(2)toturnontheunit.The
LCDdisplaywilllightenupandshowthewelcometext,
indicatingthattheunitisreadyforuse.
DCconnection
For DC operation, open the battery compartment and insert 8 size C/UM2 batteries. When using batteries,
unplugtheACcablefromtheACsocket(21).
Settingtheclock
1. Setunitinstandbymode.
2. Pressthe“Mem/ClkAdj”button(4)once,displaywillshow“SETCLOCK”
3. Then pressthe “Mem/ClkAdj”button(4)againandthedisplaywillflash“24HR”presstheTuneUpor
TuneDownbutton(17)toselecttheclockformatbetween12or24Hour.Thenpressthe“Mem/ClkAdj”
button(4).
4. The first digit (hours) of “0:00” is flashing on the LCD display (6). Press Tune Upor Tune Down
button(17)tosetthecorrecthour.Press“Mem/ClkAdj”button(4)tostorethecorrecthour.
5. Thethird&fourth
digit(minutes)“00”isflashing,presstheTuneUporTuneDownbutton(17)to
setthecorrectminutes.Thenpress“Mem/ClkAdj”button(4)tostorethecorrectminute.
 The clock setting mode will automatically quit if no button is within 5 seconds after pressing the
“Mem/ClkAdj”button.
 Ifyoupresstheon/off(2)whilesettingthetime,thetimesettingmodewillquitandnotimesettingswill
bestored.

1. Press the On/Standby button (2) to Switch on the unit. Then press Function button (13) to select Tuner
mode.
2. TunetotherequiredstationbypressingtheTuningUporDownbutton(17).
3. PresstheVolumebutton(16)tothedesiredvolumelevel.
Autotuning
1. PressFunctionbutton(13)toselect“Tuner”mode.
2. PressandholdtheTuningUporDownbutton(17)for23secondsandthenrelease.
3. Theunitwillstartseekingautomaticallyandstopuntilaradiostationisreached.
4. Repeatstep2&3untilthedesired
radiostationisbeingreached.
5. PressVolumebutton(16)tothedesiredvolumelevel.

When storing a preset, the program mode will discard an y changes and return to normal mode automatically

 Youcanoverwriteapresentstationbystoringanotherfrequencyinitsplace.
FMStereoreception
PresstheSt/Monobutton(7)repeatedly,toswitchbetweenforcedMONOorAUTOmode.Inparticularwhen
stereosignalsare weak,itis
preferabletoreceivetheprograminMono.
The default FM mode is configured as AUTO , so when the Radio stations are received in stereo, the stereo
indicator“”willbeshownontheLCDdisplay(6).

Gettingstart

3. InsertaCDwiththelabelfacingupandclosethecddoor.
4. The CD con tent will be read and the LCD display (6) will show the total number of tracks and the total
playtime.Playbackwillstartautomatically.
5. Pressthevolumebutton(16)untilthedesiredvolumelevelisreached.
Play/Pausemode
1. Totemporarystopmusicplay,pressthePlay/Pausebutton(8)once.TheplaytimeontheLCDdisplay(6)
willfreeze.

RemovingofUSB
ToremovetheUSB,turnoffthepowerorswitchthefunctionmodetoeitherCD,Aux,orTunerfirst.Unplugthe
USBbypullingitoutfromtheUSBsocketdirectly,straightlywithoutbending.
Bluetooth
operation
PairingaBluetoothenableddevicewiththesystem.
1) PlacetheBluetoothenableddeviceforpairingandclosetothesystem
2) PressFunctionbutton(13)toselectBTfunctionatmainunitandthetext“BT”willappearonLCDdisplay(6)
Forashorttime.Thenitwillchange

3) Set the Bluetoothenabled device to search for other available Bluetooth devices until it recognizes
“LencoSCD580”.
4) Select“LencoSCD580”tostartpairing.
5) Waituntilthepairinghascompleted.Thedisplaywillshow“BT”again.

themusicofyourdevicethroughthissystemtoenjoythemusic.1)BTmusicplay

Youcanconnectanexternalaudiodevicetotheunitbyconnectingittothe3,5mmAUXinjack(11).

2. Keep pressing the buttonto adjust the sleep timer in the orderof 90 >80> 70>….10minutes respectively
andsleepicon“SLEEP”willflashonLCD.
3. Sys temwillstop
andgointostandbymodeautomaticallyafterrunningtheselectedtime.Afterselectingthe
desiredsleeptime,the“sleepindicatorwillstopflashing,whichmeansthesleeptimerisactivated.
4. To cancel the sleepmode, press Sleep/Timerbutton(14)until“SLPOFF” is displayed.The“sleep”indication
onthe
LCDdisplay(6)willdisappear.

1. PressandholdtheSleep/Timer(14)toenterthetimerSettingsmode.TheLCDdisplay(6)willshow“On
Timerandaclockicon.
2. PresstheTimer
button(14)againorwaituntilthe“ONTIMER”messagedisappears.Thefirsttwodigitsof
theclockwillflash,thefirsttwodigitsofclockwillflash,NowpressTuneorTunebutton(17)toset
thehour.PresstheTimerbutton(14)againtoconfirm.
3. Nowthe
lasttwodigitsoftheclockwillflash,pressTuneorTunebutton(17)tosettheminutes
andPresstheTimerbutton(14)againtoconfirm.
4. PresstheVolume‐+(16)buttontoadjustthewakeupvolumelevelandpresstheSleep/Timer(14)buttonto
confirmthevolumelevel.
5. PresstheFunctionbutton(13)toselectthewakeupmode.YoucanchooseCD,FM,orUSB.Pressthe
Sleep/Timerbutton(14)toconfirm.
6. OntheLCDdisplay“OffTimerwillflash.PresstheSleep/Timer(14)buttonorwaituntilthe“offtimer”
messagedisappears.The
firsttwodigitsoftheclockwillflash.
7. PressTuneorTunebutton(17)tosetthehour.PresstheTimerbutton(14)againtoconfirm.
8. Thelasttwodigitsoftheclockwillflash.
9. PressTuneorTunebutton(17)tosettheminutesandpressthe
Timerbutton(14)againto
confirm.
10. TheunitwillthenturntostandbymodewithaclockiconappearsontheLCDdisplay.
11. Theunitwillautomaticallyturnonandoffatthepresettimewiththeselectedmodeandvolumelevel.
Remark:‐
Ifthereisnomusic
sourcedetected(suchasUSBor CD)attheconfiguredtime,thesystemwillusetheFM
modeatthelastusedfrequency/Preset.
ForTunerwakeup,thesystemwillusetheFMmodeatthelastusedfrequency/Preset.
Thereareabout4secondsforalarmsettingmode,thissystemwillreturntonormalmodeautomaticallyifno
keysbeingpressedinthistimeframe.
Duringthealarmonmode,pressingtheOn/Standbybutton(2)willswitchoffthesystem.
Enable/Disabletimerfunction
1. Toactivethealarmfunction,presstheTIMERbutton(14)repeatedlytoselect“ON”or
“OFF”.Theclockicon
willappearontheLCDdisplayifthefunctionisturnedon.Otherwise,the clockiconwillbedisappearedfrom

TheSCD580comeswith4differrentsoundmodestoenhanceyourlisteningexperience.Bypressingthepreset
EQbutton(9)youcanchoosethefollowingmodes:
