About This Variety: Iris Halkis not commonly available in retail stores. Its is smaller in stature then the other
dwarf Iris, as it’s growth is more slender. It flowers in various shades of blue, with a yellowish eye. Rare in
availability, order early as supplies will not last the season.
Growing Instructions: Choose a site that has reasonably fertile soil and plenty of moisture that won’t dry out in
summer. Good drainage and a sheltered location will help them survive the winter.
Care Tip: Plant about 30 bulbs per square foot. Zone 5 gardeners should add a 2” layer of mulch in fall. Best
planted in large numbers.
