Mounting on a DIN rail
How to Unlock the Fixed Hooks 1
(1) Insert a slotted screwdriver (the point should be smaller than 4.5mm) into a hole (see the figure below).
(2) By using the screwdriver as leverage, move it upward in the direction of the arrow to unlock.
How to Unlock the Fixed Hooks 2
If your slotted screwdriver is not suitable for the hole.
(1) Place the slotted screwdriver (the point should be smaller than 8mm) as shown in the figure.
(2) Rotate the screwdriver 90-degree in either direction.
How to mount
(1) Pull down the fixed hook at the bottom to unlock. The top hook should remain locked.
(2) Hang the product on the upper part of the DIN rail, and press it to the lower side of the DIN rail.
(3) Push up the hook to lock.
The product could also be mounted with the top hook unlocked and bottom hook remains locked.
Confirm whether the product has been securely mounted onto the DIN rail.

Using this point as the fulcrum,
move the fixed hook by way of
the principle of leverage.
Insert the slotted screwdriver (point: 8mm or smaller)
into the position shown in the figure
(between the casing and the arch of the fixed hook).
Rotate the slotted screwdriver.

Network Cables
Cables meeting the following specifications should be used:
- 10BASE-T : Equal to greater than Category 3 UTP, STP cable 100m or less
- 100BASE-TX : Equal to greater than Category 5 UTP, STP cable 100m or less
- There are straight/cross UTP and STP cables. Auto MDI/MDI-X feature allows connection of your Switching HUB
unit to a personal computer (LAN adapter) or another HUB unit and a bridges using either a straight or cross cable.
Inspection
Inspect the product periodically as follows to use it safely.
Neither dust nor alien substance is attached to the ventilation slits.

put too much load on the connected part. Doing so may result in poor contact or damage to this product and the connected part.
- Do not touch metal parts or terminals of the product with your hands in operation. Otherwise, this product may malfunction, overheat, or cause a failure.
- The spec ific ation of this product is subject to change without notice for enhancement and quality improvement. Even when using this product continuous ly, b e sure to
read the manual of CONTEC’s website and understand the contents.
- If you move or transfer the product, make sure to attach the Setup Guide (this document).

LAN, ground, etc.). For selection/introd uction/ins tallatio n o f SP D, pleas e consult a specialist.
