General Information

The Arcair N-7500 Replacement Kit includes:

Extension Insulator (94433190)

These instructions are supplied to ensure the proper

installation of the replacement kit. Thoroughly read the

instructions ﬁrst, before attempting the installation.

Installation Procedure

A. Cover Removal

1. Position Torch Head into secured location. (i.e.,

table mounted vice)

2. Remove molded locknut and air nozzle from front

of Torch Head.

Check white Teflon

insulator on back of air

nozzle to be sure it is in proper working order.

3. Remove two button head screws from metal

shroud.

NOTE: White teﬂon o-rings are located on back-

side of each screw to insulate shroud from Torch

Head. As you remove screws, o-rings will drop to

bottom of shroud. Locate and set aside.

B. V-block Assembly Removal

1. Slide v-block out.

2. Reposition Torch Head to have visible access of

the bottom side.

3. Remove 4 screws on bottom side of Torch Head

(3/32 allen wrench).

Inspect bottom of Torch Head for defects which

may have occurred during operation.

4. Remove air inlet housing (with nozzle spring and

guard) from inside top of torch.

Insert into

top of

housing

Be sure the orange o-ring is in place and working

order.

C. Extension Insulator Replacement

1. Loosen set screw, but do not remove.

2. Slowly remove insulator.

2. Replace with extension insulator.

Re-seat set screw (5/64 allen wrench) inside the

extended plenum. Make sure the top of the set

screw does not protrude above the surface.

D. V-block Assembly Installation

1. Install air inlet housing from inside top of torch.

Be sure the orange o-ring is in place and working

order.

2. Insert an electrode and slide v-block in. After the

v-block is in place remove the electrode.

3. Reposition Torch Head to have visible access of

the bottom side.

4. Insert 4 screws on bottom side of Torch Head

(3/32 allen wrench) and tighten.

E. Shroud Replacement

1. Locate two screws, two o-rings and shroud.

2. Insert both screws into shroud, placing o-rings

on backside.

3. Finger tighten screws, making sure o-rings do

not drop. Tighten completely. Do not over-

tighten.

4. Locate air nozzle and locknut. Be sure air nozzle

insulator is seated against the v-block properly.

Tighten lock nut.

This completes replacement of the extension insula-

tor.
