Assembly Instructions Workstand

Please read first!

The workstand provides a firm stand for the

saw. At the same time it serves as a holder for

the dust collection hoses.

Please see also instructions for your circular

saw. They contain important information on

- safety;

- operation;

- care and maintenance.

Assembly

1. Remove saw blade guard from saw and lower

the saw blade fully into the table.

2. With the help of another person, turn saw upside

down and place onto a suitable support.

3. Attach both side panels to the corners of the cir-

cular saw using two hexagon head screws

M 6x16, two serrated lock washers and two

hexagon nuts.

4. Fit rear panel (the panel with the circular open-

ing for the dust extraction port) at the rear of the

saw between the side panels and bolt with six

cup square neck screws M 6x16, six serrated

lock washers, and six hexagon nuts to the side

panels.

5. Install front panel likewise at the front of the saw.

6. Screw a hexagon nut M 10 onto each of the four

adjustable feet, then put feet into the holes at

each corner of the workstand.

7. Adjust feet so that they all project the same dis-

tance, and secure from inside the workstand

with washers and hexagon nuts M 10.

If the workstand is to be fitted with the

optional wheel set (no standard delivery), it is

easiest to do so at this point. The wheel set

installation is described at the end of this

manual.

Installing the dust collection hoses

1. Fit spiral suction hose (the shorter, wider hose)

with a hose clamp to the saw’s dust extraction

port.

2. Screw dust extraction port to outside of the

workstand’s rear panel with three hexagon head

screws M 6x16, three serrated lock washers and

three hexagon nuts.

3. Fit spiral suction hose with a hose clamp to the

workstand’s dust extraction port.

4. With the help of another person turn saw back

over and stand on the workstand.

Hose carrier installation on PK 250 / PK 300

On the precision circular saws PK 250 and

PK 300 the hose carrier is screwed to the

table.

1. Fit cup square neck screws into outer holes of

the hose carrier.

2. From the other side fit a washer to the cup

square neck screw and screw on a hexagon nut.

3. Slide cup square neck screws at rear right-hand

corner of table into groove.

Hose carrier installation on PKF 255

On the panel sizing saw PKF 255 the hose

carrier is hooked to the saw.

- Hook hose carrier to the horizontal slot at rear

right-hand corner of the saw table.

If a base carrier system is installed on the panel siz-

ing saw PKF 255, the hose carrier is hooked into the

outer groove of the base carrier extrusion.

Fitting the corrugated hose

1. Raise saw blade and install blade guard.

2. Fit corrugated hose (the smaller, longer hose) to

the blade guard’s dust spout and the connector

of the workstand’s dust extraction port.

3. Fit corrugated hose into the semi-open socket of

the hose carrier.

Adjusting

If required, the adjustable feet are accessible

through the side panel openings to compen-

sate for an uneven floor.

1. Loosen counter nuts on adjustable feet and set

feet as required.

2. Tighten counter nuts against each other.

3. Hook both side panel lids to the panels (tongues

on inside of lid pointing down).

The wheel set is installed in the workstand for

the circular saws PK 250, PK 300, or PKF

255. The workstand enables easy relocation

of the saw with attached workstand.

Standard delivery – wheel set

Installation requirements

· Workstand for PK 250, PK 300 or PKF 255

· 17 mm open-end spanner or ratchet wrench

· 13 mm open-end spanner

· 10 mm open-end spanner or ratchet wrench

· Screw driver

Assembly

1. Push rubber handle fully onto handle bar.

2. Screw handle bar with two hexagon head

screws M 8x16, serrated lock washers and hex-

agon nuts to bracket of wheel set axle.

3. Attach both wheels with the bolts to the wheel

brackets of the wheel set axle.

4. Secure both bolts on both ends with a 12 mm

starlock.

Important: After fitting the starlocks cannot be

removed without being damaged!

5. Fit both axle brackets to the wheel set axle and

secure on both sides with a 20 mm starlock.

removed without being damaged!

6. Remove both side panel lids from the work-

stand.

7. Attach both axle brackets with four each cup

square neck screws M 6x16, washers and hex-

agon nuts to the inside of each side panel.

They are fitted to the four square holes in each

side panel close to the rear panel of the work-

stand.

8. Hook both side panel lids to the panels (tongues

on inside of lid pointing down).

Operation

1. To lower the wheels, take off right side panel lid.

2. Swing handle bar so that the workstand is lifted

slightly and rests on the wheels.

3. Roll machine to new location.

4. Swing handle bar slowly back, until workstand

rests on all four adjustable feet.

5. Attach side panel lid.
