1.2 General safety instructions
These installation instructions are intended for gas fitters,
plumbers, heating engineers and electricians.
Read any installation instructions (boiler, heating controls,
etc.) carefully before starting the installation.
Observe the safety instructions and warnings.
Observe national and regional regulations, technical rules
and guidelines.
Record all work carried out.
If you smell gas
A gas leak could potentially cause an explosion. If you smell gas,
observe the following rules.
Prevent flames or sparks:
Do not smoke, use a lighter or strike matches.
Do not operate any electrical switches or unplug any
equipment.
Do not use the telephone or ring doorbells.
Turn off the gas at the meter or regular
Open windows and doors
Warn your neighbours and leave the building
Prevent anyone from entering the building.
Stay well away from the building: call Emergency Services
LPG boilers: Call the supplier’s number on the side of the
gas tank
Intended use
This boiler must only be used as a heating appliance in a sealed
hot water heating system for domestic purposes.
Any other use is considered inappropriate. Any damage that
results from such use is excluded from liability.
Installation, commissioning and servicing
Installation, commissioning and servicing must only be carried
out by a competent, Gas Safe registered engineer.
Carry out a gas tightness test after completing work on gas-
carrying components.
Only use original spares.
Electrical work
Electrical work must only be carried out by a qualified
electrician.
Before starting electrical work:
Isolate the mains electrical supply and secure against
unintentional re-connection.
Check for zero potential.
Also see connection diagrams of other system
components.
Warnings in this document are identified by
a warning triangle printed against a grey
background.
Keywords at the start of a warning indicate
the type and seriousness of the ensuing risk
if measures to prevent the risk are not taken.
This symbol indicates important information
where there is no risk to people or property.

2.1 Gas Conversion kits
To convert to LPG, a Gas Conversion kit is required.
The kit comprises:
Gas pipe assembly
–Gas pipe
–O ring
Dust shield
–Securing nut
Heat Control Module (HCM)
HCM tether
Labels to confirm the new gas type
Table 1, page 5, lists the Gas Conversion kit part numbers.
2.2 Gas pipe conversion kit
Refer to the Installation, Commissioning and Servicing
instructions and remove the boiler front panel and combustion
chamber cover and put the control panel in the service
position.
2.2.1 Gas pipe
The gas pipe is supplied already assembled for ease of
installation.

CAUTION: Appliance siting
This appliance must not be installed into a
room or internal space below ground level
when it is intended for use with LPG
(Propane - G31). This does not preclude
the installation into a room or space that is
in a basement on one side of the building
but is open to ground level on the opposite
side
CAUTION: Mains supplies
Turn off the gas supply and isolate the
electrical mains supply before starting any

2.4 LPG conversion
Remove the four bolts securing the combustion chamber cover
and remove the cover to access the gas pipe.
2.4.1 Gas pipe removal
1. Remove the air intake pipes, if fitted, by pulling down and
away from the pre-mix chamber
2. Unscrew the gas pipe securing nut
3. Push the gas pipe assembly up into the pre-mix chamber, to
clear the gas valve
4. Move the assembly to the left into the space next to the gas
valve and pull the assembly down to remove
Fig. 4 Removing gas pipe
2.4.2 LPG pipe fitting
Ensure that the O ring is fitted to the bottom end of the
pipe, refer to figure 1, a new O ring is provided in case the
original is lost or damaged
Introduce the new gas pipe assembly into the space to the
left of the gas valve and insert the top of the pipe into the
pre-mix chamber
Push the assembly up until it clears the top of the gas valve
Pull the assembly down on top of the gas valve and secure
with the nut
Re-fit the air intake pipes securely into the pre-mix
chamber
Check the gas pressure at the gas valve, nominally 37mbar,
refer to the installation, Commissioning and Servicing
manual for the correct procedure. If the gas pressure is
satisfactory continue on to the CO

settings, refer to the table below, if the
CO/CO
2
settings require adjustment refer to the
Installation, Commissioning and Servicing manual for the
correct procedure.
If all the checks are within tolerance, then fit the dust cap to

2.5 Update boiler data label
From the LPG Conversion kit:
1. Up-date the data label [A] to show the gas conversion
variant data, peel off the larger portion of the new label [B].
2. Apply the new label [B] over the original data label [A] on
the inside of the boiler, to cover the original data.
2.6 Update boiler identification label
3. To identify the boiler gas conversion variant for the end
user, peel off the smaller portion of the label [D].
4. Apply the new label [D] under the original label [C] on the
top front corner of the right hand side panel as shown in
figure 5, The other portion of the label can be discarded.
