beam.Aradarbeamcannormallybeassumed
tospread20degreesaboveandbelowthe
radiatingelement.
Theproductissuppliedfromaseparatebattery
fromthatusedforenginestart.Thisisimportantto
preventerraticbehavioranddatalosswhichcan
occuriftheenginestartdoesnothaveaseparate
battery.

purpose(e.g.installationormaintenance),itmustbe
replacedintheoriginalpositionbeforetheproduct
isused.
Useonlyferritesofthecorrecttype,suppliedby
Raymarineauthorizeddealers.
Whereaninstallationrequiresmultipleferritestobe
addedtoacable,additionalcableclipsshouldbe
usedtopreventstressontheconnectorsduetothe
extraweightofthecable.

Whenchoosingasuitablelocationyoushouldaim

theunitandanycompasses.
Topreventpotentialinterferencewiththevessel's
magneticcompasses,ensurethataminimum
distanceof230mm(9in)betweentheunitandany
installedcompassesismaintained.
Viewingangleconsiderations
Asdisplaycontrast,colorandnightmode
performanceareallaffectedbytheviewingangle,
