Preparing
the appliance
• Make sure the power cord is disconnected from the socket.
• Make sure the facial sauna is standing on a level, secure surface (such as a
table).
• Fill the water tank
with tap water. Always use the measuring cup
;
never fill the tank directly from the tap.
• Do not use any liquids other than water.
• In hard water areas, it is advisable to fill half the tank with demineralised
(not distilled) water.
• Do not fill the water tank
higher than the maximum marking
.
• Fasten the steam attachment
(or
) to the main appliance
by
turning it clockwise until you hear it catch.
• When completely filled
the appliance can be used for up to 20 minutes
until the water has evaporated from the tank
.
• Plug the power cord into the socket.
• When the appliance is ready, switch it on using the ON/OFF button
. The
red indicator lamp
lights up. The water is heated and in a few minutes
steam comes out of it. You can switch the appliance off at any time using
the ON/OFF button
.
• Sit down in front of the appliance. Lean forward so that your face is over
the steam attachment
.
• Do not put your face too close to the steam attachment
; always keep at
a sufficient distance so that your skin does not become too hot.
• Do not use the steam attachment
for more than 20 minutes. If the ap-
pliance is used by several people in succession, each one should not use it
with the steam attachment
for more than 20 minutes in the course of a
day. Do not use the appliance more than two or three times per week.
• If the water has evaporated or if you want to switch the appliance off, press
the ON/OFF button
. The red indicator lamp
goes out.
• Unplug the power cord from the mains and let the appliance cool down for
at least 10 to 15 minutes before taking off the steam attachment
and
emptying the water tank.
• Take the steam attachment off the main appliance by turning it anticlock-
wise.
• Pour the remaining water out of the tank over a sink or basin.
• When you have finished using the sauna, wash your face with cold water.
Then apply your moisturiser to your face, or suitable cleaning or peeling
cream.
• You can turn the steam outlet plate
to regulate the amount of steam
coming from the water tank.
• To shorten the heating time, you can close the steam outlet plate
by
turning it clockwise as far as it will go.
• When the steam outlet plate
is closed, the steam escapes via the steam
valve
on the rear below the steam attachment.
• Never touch or cover the steam valve, as this can lead to scalding.
