CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PURCHASE
Thank you for purchasing this Eagle Tape Light Kit. Please read these instructions carefully
and leave with the user of the product for future reference. If the product is sold on then the
instruction/manual should pass on as well.
BEFORE USE
You must inspect the product and all accessories including any cables and its power supply
for any signs of damage. If the product is damaged, DO NOT use it, and contact your supplier
immediately.
PRODUCT SAFETY
• Children shall not play with this unit.
• Do not place the mains lead beneath a carpet or a rug.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Please ensure the power supply is switched o when not in use.
• Do not leave this device switched on when unattended.
• Though the tape light section of this product is IP rated any connections and its power supply
are not and must be kept dry.
• Periodically check this product and its power supply for damage. If any is detected do not use
and contact your supplier.
• The power supply MUST only be used in a well-ventilated area away from sources of heat and
moisture.

OPERATION AND INSTALLATION
• Installation must take place whilst the unit is unplugged
• The product MUST NOT be mounted using staples, nails, or metal xings.
• The product can be cut at 5cm (3 LED) intervals to the required length, highlighted by a line
straddled with a pair of scissors. This cut can be made with regular scissors (not supplied). Cut
ends must be sealed with heat shrink (not supplied) or similar water repellent type materials.
• The product can be installed in the desired location simply by removing the self-adhesive
backing on the rear of the tape light and then pressing the tape light against a smooth clean
surface. The surface must be free of dust and grease.
• Apply rm pressure along the length of the tape light to ensure it has adhered in all locations.
• Once installed, plug the product in and switch the mains power on.
• Ensure the product is switched o when not in use.
1) Cut the product to length as required (can be cut every 5cm) before installation.
2) Install the product into position by peeling o the backing and xing in place.
3) Join the end connection of the tape with the IR receiver module (as per below)
4) Connect the power supply to the IR receiver and switch on

MAINTENANCE
There are no user serviceable parts in this product. Periodically check the product for LED failure
and damage. If any of the LED’s have failed or the product is damaged in anyway switch o
and disconnect from the mains supply. To clean the product, switch o and disconnect from the
mains supply. Using a slightly damp cloth gently wipe over. Do not use bleach, solvent based
cleaners or strong detergents. These may damage the product and invalidate the warranty. If
the mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or and authorised service
centre.
PAT TESTING
When used in an oce environment, we recommend that this product should be safety-tested
yearly by a qualied electrician (PAT Tested). We recommend that it is PAT tested regularly when
used in a domestic environment.
GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Domestic wiring must be tested periodically by a qualied electrician at least once every 10
years or at every change of occupancy. For oce and retail premises, and buildings such as
village halls, the wiring must be inspected at least once every 5 years. It is recommended that all
building be tted with smoke alarms (it is mandatory for new buildings).
