Operation
NOTE: Operation of the sun shading system or lighting
equipment via the receiver is not possible until
learning has been carried out successfully at the
transmitter! The learning process is described in the
user instructions of the receiver. You can addition-
ally obtain the "EWFS Application brochure" with
numerous implementation examples of "learning"
and the forming of groups free of charge from your
specialist dealer. The brochure can alternatively be
downloaded from the address: http://www.warema.
de Products Controls EWFS. Manifold spe-
cial functions are additionally possible in WAREMA
EWFS.
Channel change at an 8-channel hand-held
transmitter
n Press one of the "CHANNEL" buttons (Fig. 2) repeat-
edly until the desired channel is selected. This is in-
dicated by the channel LEDs lighting up. Then press
the "UP" or "DOWN" button in order to operate the sun
shading system or press one of the function buttons in
order to trigger the desired function. When the button
is pressed the LED of the set channel and the trans-
mission LED lights up.
Operation of the hand-held transmitter:
n After an "UP" or "DOWN" button has been pressed,
the transmission LED lights up briefly and the sun pro-
tection system travels in the corresponding direction.
Stopping is effected either by pressing the opposite
button or the stop button.
n If your receiver controls a lamp, you have to switch it
on and off using the "B" button. Please read the operat-
ing instructions of the receiver for more information.
n If you use several channels, label the enclosed label in
accordance with the learned channels and stick it into
the recess on the rear of the hand-held transmitter.
Symbols used
When the receiver is delivered, it does not "know" any
transmitters initially and therefore must first learn which
transmitters it should respond to. We refer to this process
as "learning-in".
Explanation of symbols:
Power-up: In order to learn in a transmitter, you
must de-energise a receiver or a group of receiv-
ers, either at the upstream in-line circuit breaker
or at the corresponding plug-in connector, and
then energise it again after approx. 5 seconds.
(Power-up procedure.) Always perform a power-up
procedure when you see the in-line circuit breaker
symbol.
Here, the receiver is in the learn mode for approx.
one minute. The learn button on the transmitter
must be pressed during this time interval or the
receiver will exit the learn mode. Press the learn
button on your transmitter whenever you see the
learn button symbol.
Wave: After you press the learn button on the
transmitter, the connected sun shading system
carries out several movements in a waving motion.
In these instructions, we use the adjacent symbol
to denote waving. Single wave: Press the learn
button on the transmitter, wait until the connected
sun shading system moves, and then release the
button immediately.
