Carson AM-20 is a flexible clamp-on LED lighted magnifier designed to assist with various tasks requiring magnification and illumination. The LED light is activated by a switch on the housing unit, and the magnifier can be attached to tables or similar surfaces using its adjustable base clamp. To Activate LED Light
To turn light on, slide switch on top of LED housing unit up (Fig. 1).
Note: Please remove battery tab before first use.

To Attach to Table
Squeeze to open base clamp (Fig. 2). Clamp onto table edge as shown
(Fig. 3).

Position Magnifier Lens
Bend and twist flexible arm to position lens as needed (Fig. 4). If flexible arm is too loose or too tight it can
be adjusted. Use a phillips head screw driver to loosen or tighten screws along flexible arm to adjust tension
(Fig. 5). If desired, segments of flexible arm can be removed by loosening screws and pulling segments
apart (Fig. 6). Attach remaining segments and tighten to secure.

Warning: Use only alkaline batteries. Mixing old and new, different brands or types within brands may
cause batteries to leak, overheat or explode. Keep away from fire or excessive heat. Inspect batteries for
corrosion or leakage. Insert in direction indicated. Rechargeable batteries not recommended.
Cleaning Your Magnifier
Clean lens with a soft, clean microfiber cloth by rubbing gently in a circular motion. Moisten the lens cloth
with water if needed. Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents or abrasives as they may damage the lens.
CAUTION - FIRE HAZARD:
Keep magnifier away from direct sunlight to prevent accidental fire.

Replacing Batteries
Carefully pull back LED housing unit and remove from magnifier neck (Fig. 7). Remove safety screw and pull
back battery door (Fig. 8-9). Remove spent batteries and replace with three fresh G12 button cell batteries
according to polarity indicators marked on battery door (Fig. 10). Replace battery door and snap LED
housing unit back onto magnifier neck.
