Setup
1. Assembling the Blower
1. Install the blo w er tube .
2. Install the inlet co v er to the blo w er housing .

the blo w er tube. T he blo w er will not r un unless the bottom
inlet co v er is lock ed in place.
2. Converting from Blower to
Vacuum

is r unning or when the unit is plug ged into a po w er
outlet.

Operation
Connecting to a Power Source
Use only an extension cord recommended for outdoor use . Use
T oro’ s Cord Lock System to prev ent the extension cord from
disconnecting from the mac hine .
If y ou do not full y seat the extension cord on the inlet
plug , the loose plug could lead to o v erheating and cause a
fir e, possibl y bur ning y ou or other s.
Ensur e that y ou full y seat the cord on the plug and use the
T or o’ s Cord Lock System to secur e the cord.

Starting/Stopping/Adjusting
the Air Speed
Using the Concentrator Nozzle
Accessory
Install the concentrator nozzle into the blo w er tube to help reac h
into nar ro w spaces or to mo v e matted debris off of hard surfaces .
R emo v e the concentrator nozzle when finished.
Using the Blower
T he blo w er is intended for residential use only . Use the blo w er
outdoors to mo v e debris as needed.
T he blo w er can thr o w de bris, possibl y causing serious
per sonal injur y to the operator or bystander s.
Do not blo w hard objects such as nails, bolts, or r ocks.
Do not operate the blo w er near bystander s or pets.
Use extra car e when cleaning de bris fr om stair s or
other tight ar eas.

Using the Vacuum
T he v acuum can thr o w de bris, possibl y causing serious
per sonal injur y to the operator or bystander s.
Do not operate the v acuum without the ba g installed
or with the ba g zipper open.
Do not v acuum shar p , pointed, or hard objects that
could be thr o wn thr ough the f a bric of the ba g , such as
wir es, staples, nails, or r ocks.
Important: V acuum onl y lea v es and soft items. Hard
items such as sticks, r ocks, acor ns, and pine cones will
dama ge the impeller .
Important: Do not f orce the v acuum tube into a pile of
de bris or hold the tube upright while f orce feeding de bris
into the tube. Either action may clo g and dama ge the
impeller . If the v acuum star ts to vibrate or mak e a bnor mal
noise, stop it, unplug the cord, and check f or the cause.

Emptying the Bag
Note: T he bag capacity is 52 liters .
1. T ur n off and unplug the v acuum from the po w er source .
2. Empty any debris from the bag .
Do not store debris in the bag . T o clean the bag, tur n it inside
out and shak e out any ex cess debris . Once a year , hand w ash
the bag in soapy w ater and allo w it to air dr y .
Nor mal usa ge of the ba g causes it to w ear and
deteriorate o v er time. A w or n or deteriorated ba g
allo ws small objects to be thr o wn thr ough the ba g ,
possibl y injuring the operator or bystander s.
Check the ba g fr equentl y . If it is w or n or deteriorated,
r eplace it with a gen uine T or o v acuum ba g .
Removing Clogged Debris
from the Impeller
1. T ur n off and unplug the v acuum from the po w er source and
w ait for all mo ving par ts to stop .
2. R emo v e the v acuum tube .
3. R emo v e the debris from impeller blades .
4. Chec k the impeller for any signs of damag e . If it is damag ed,
contact y our A uthorized T oro Dealer .
5. Install the v acuum tube or , if y ou w ant to switc h to blo w er
mode , the bottom inlet co v er . R efer to Con v er ting from
Blo w er to V acuum or Con v er ting from V acuum to Blo w er
for more infor mation.
Storage
Store the blo w er/v acuum and extension cord indoors , in a cool
dr y location, out of reac h of c hildren and animals .
Ensure that the bottom inlet co v er or v acuum tube is loc k ed
in place .
Ensure that the po w er cord is secured in place on the bac k of
the blo w er and that the plug is fully seated.

in place .
Ensure that the po w er cord is secured in place on the bac k of
the blo w er and that the plug is fully seated.
Double-insulated Appliances
In a double-insulated appliance , tw o systems of insulation
are pro vided instead of g rounding . No g rounding means is
pro vided on a double-insulated appliance , nor should a means for
g rounding be added to the appliance . Ser vicing a double-insulated
appliance requires extreme care and kno wledg e of the system,
and should be done only b y the qualified ser vice personnel at
y our A uthorized T oro Ser vice Dealer . R e placement par ts for a
double-insulated appliance m ust be identical to the par ts they
re place . A double-insulated appliance is mark ed with the w ords
"Double Insulation" or "Double Insulated." T he symbol (square
within a square) ma y also be mark ed on the appliance .
