INSTALLATION
1. Plug the jack of the AC adapter (1) into the power connection socket (2).
2. Plug the power cable (3) into the AC adapter (1).
3. Plug the power cable (3) into a grounded socket.
4. Connect the printer to the computer to USB or Ethernet.
5. Switch the printer on at the POWER button.
6. The printer performs a system test, and then shows the system status with the LED status.
NOTE: If the printer is connected correctly, the Power LED lights green after the system test.
INSTALLATION FOR WINDOWS USER
Installing the printer driver
1. Connect to the following link and download the Windows driver for the printer.
https://it.seagullscientific.com/drivers/cab-windows-printer-drivers/
2. Turn on the printer and wait for the green LED to light up
3. Run the file as an administrator and follow the printer setup wizard.
Installing Software
Note! When the printer is connected to USB cable, the driver installation will be automatically made.
Insert the DVD in the computer.
Choose "Software" on the Welcome screen.
Press the icon "install software" to start the installation.

1. Connect to the following link and download the Mac driver for the printer.

2. Install the .dmg file and after connect and turn on the printer
3. In your Mac go to: System Preferences – Printers & Scanner
4. Press “ +”

LOADING RIBBONS
LOADING THE FOIL
Pull the cover release catches on both sides of the printer.
Insert the foil spindle into new foil.
Insert the foil spindle into empty ribbon core.
Open the cover for foil rewind mechanism
Insert the foil spindle with the new foil into the Foil rewind wheel.
Insert the foil spindle with the empty ribbon core into the Foil supply wheel

Attach the foil to the empty foil core with the adhesive strip at the end of the foil.
Wind the foil around the empty foil core for 2 to 3 circles
WARNING: The foil has an matt side and a glossy side, make sure that the matt side
is the one in contact with the ribbon.
LOADING RIBBON
Pull to open the label guide plates.
Place the label stock on label supply hubs. Make sure the label stock is aligned to both hubs.
Adjust the label guide plates to fix the label width.
Release the locking button and let it click into place.
Feed the label through the label guides on both sides.
Unlock the release catch to close the printer cover.

Click the "devices" button
In the devices list, select the printer and click the "ok" button

Click on a new label to open a new project
On the screen, select the "display name" text box to give a name to the label format you are creating.
In "label layout", set the size of the label.
In "spacings", set the value in mm of the empty space between one label and the other.
Select "Next" button to create the format.

You can edit the label with the tools shown in the following figure
You have to click on the tool and then click on the centerpage label to enable it use.
The "Text" tool is used to insert a line of text into the label.
When you click the empty label, the following screen appears.
From this screen you can enter text and format it using the font properties
Click the "ok" button to confirm

The "Barcode" tool is used to enter barcodes
After selecting the "Barcode" tool and clicked in the label center, the following window opens.
From this screen you can set the size of the bars, size of the numbers, style, code type (EAN13, UPC,
CODE39, etc.)

The "Picture" tool is used to insert images into the label.
REMARK: For better print quality, we recommend inserting blank images
and black; in case you want to enter color or grayscale images, the result in phase
printing will not be satisfactory; at the printing stage there is one
a special section for adjusting the quality of color images or grayscale.
The following tools in the red boxes are used to insert rows, squares, rectangles, circles, ellipses.

MAINTENANCE
In order to always ensure optimum printing and maximum durability of the mechanical components and
print head, it is essential to clean the printer and print head at each ribbon change.
• PRINT HEAD
Wait about 1 minute after the last print.
Using a dampened alcohol cloth, wipe the print head, rub the area shown in the image, until it completely
removes the print residues.
• PLATEN
Rotate the platen (shown in the figure) and clean it with a cloth that does not release impurities, dampened
with alcohol, until the complete removal of the dirt accumulated.
