IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precauons should always be followed,
including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. To protect against electrical shock and personal injury, do not immerse this appliance,
including cord and plug, in water or other liquid.
3. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilies, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instrucon concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or aer the appliance
malfuncons or has been damaged in any manner. To avoid hazards, return appliance to
NESCO® Factory Service Department for examinaon, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of aachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause a risk of
injury to persons.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electrical burner or in a heated oven.
11. Do not use appliance for other than its intended use, as described in this manual.
12. Operate appliance only when all parts are fully engaged and secured.
13. Never place ngers or other utensils into feed areas while operang.
14. Check feed chute for presence of foreign objects before using. Remove if necessary.
15. Do not use appliance to cut frozen foods, bones or pied fruits.
16. Make sure the motor stops completely and power cord is removed from outlet before
pung on or taking o any items.
17. Avoid contact with moving parts.
18. Keep hands and utensils away from moving blades or discs while processing food to reduce
the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the food processor. A scraper may be
used but must be used only when the food processor is not running..
19. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cung blade or discs on base without rst pung
bowl properly in place.
20. Never feed food by hand. Always use the pushrod.
21. Blades are sharp! Handle carefully. Remove the blade assembly before pouring contents
from bowl.
22. Be certain cover is securely locked in place before operang appliance. Do not aempt to
defeat the cover interlock mechanism

Polarized Plug: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce risk of electric shock, plug is intended to t into polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it sll does not t, contact a
qualied electrician. Do not try to modify the plug in any way.
Short Cord Instrucons: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulng
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used
if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rang of
the cord should be at least as great as the electrical rang of the appliance. The longer cord
should be arranged so that it will not drape over the tabletop where it can be pulled on by
