LASER WARNING
After completing setup, and before public use, test the laser to ensure proper function. Do not
use if any defects are detected. Do not use if the laser emits only a few laser beams rather than
dozens/hundreds, as this could indicate damage to the diffraction grating optic, and could allow
emission of laser intensity levels that exceed Class 3R.
Do not point lasers at people or animals. Never look into the laser aperture or directly at laser
beams.
Do not point lasers into areas which could create instances of unintentional or harmful
exposure, such as uncontrolled balconies, etc.
Do not point lasers at highly reective surfaces, such as windows, mirrors, and shiny metal.
Even laser reections can be hazardous.
Never point a laser at aircraft. This is a federal offense.
Never point un-terminated laser beams into the sky.
Do not expose the output optic (aperture) to cleaning chemicals.
Do not use laser if the laser appears to be emitting only a few beams.
Do not use the laser if the housing is damaged, the housing is open, or if the optics appear
dam-aged in any way.

pyrotechnics, etc.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
A qualied electrician should be used for all electrical connections and/or
installations.
MINIMUM DISTANCE TO OBJECTS/SURFACES MUST BE 40 FEET (12 METERS)
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE OF EXTERNAL SURFACE 167°F (75°C)
DO NOT INSTALL THE FIXTURE IF YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO DO SO!
Fixture MUST be installed following all local, national, and country commercial electrical and construction
codes and regulations. Before rigging/mounting the xture to any metal truss/structure or placing the
xture on any surface, a professional equipment installer MUST be consulted to determine if the metal
truss/structure or surface is properly certied to safely hold the combined weight of the xture, clamps,
cables, and accessories.
Overhead xture installation must always be secured with a secondary safety attachment, such as an
appropriately rated safety cable that meets all local, national, and country codes and regulations.
Fixture ambient operating temperature range is -4°F to 104°F. (-20°C to 40°C) Do not use this xture
outside this temperature range.
Fixture should be installed in areas outside walking paths, seating areas, or away from areas were
unauthorized personnel might reach the xture by hand.
NEVER stand directly below the xture when rigging, removing, or servicing.
Allow approximately 15-minutes for the xture to cool down before servicing.
11
INSTALLATION
CLAMP INSTALLATION
This xture features a mounting clamp attachment point, which is located on the mounting yoke, as well
as a safety cable rigging point, located on the rear face of the unit near the power connection (see the
illustration below). When mounting the xture to a truss or any other suspended or overhead installa-
tion, be sure to secure an appropriately rated clamp (not included) to the clamp attachment point and
attach a separate SAFETY CABLE of the appropriate safety rating to the safety cable rigging point.
RIGGING
Overhead rigging requires extensive experience, including but not limited to: calculating working load
limits, understanding the installation material being used, and periodic safety inspection of all installation
material and the xture itself. If you lack these qualications, do not attempt to perform the installation
yourself. Improper installation can result in bodily injury.

DMX SETUP
DMX-512: DMX is short for Digital Multiplex. This is a universal protocol used as a form of communication
between intelligent xtures and controllers. A DMX controller sends DMX data instructions from the
controller to the xture. DMX data is sent as serial data that travels from xture to xture via the DATA
“IN” and DATA “OUT” XLR terminals located on all DMX xtures (most controllers only have a DATA
“OUT” terminal).
DMX Linking: DMX is a language allowing all makes and models of dierent manufacturers to be
linked together and operate from a single controller, as long as all xtures and the controller are DMX
compliant. To ensure proper DMX data transmission, when using several DMX xtures try to use
the shortest cable path possible. The order in which xtures are connected in a DMX line does not
inuence the DMX addressing. For example, a xture assigned a DMX address of 1 may be placed
anywhere in a DMX line: at the beginning, at the end, or anywhere in the middle. When a xture is
assigned a DMX address of 1, the DMX controller knows to send DATA assigned to address 1 to that
unit, no matter where it is located in the DMX chain.
Data Cable (DMX Cable) Requirements (For DMX Operation): This device can be controlled via
DMX-512 protocol. The DMX address is set using the
display screen on the back of the device. Your unit
and your DMX controller require a standard 3-pin XLR
connector for data input and data output (Figure 1).
We recommend Accu-Cable DMX cables. If you are
making your own cables, be sure to use standard 110-
120 Ohm shielded cable (This cable may be purchased
at almost all pro lighting stores). Your cables should
be made with a male XLR connector on one end and
a female XLR connector on the other. Also remember
that DMX cable must be daisy chained and cannot be
split.
Notice: Be sure to follow gures two and three when making your own cables. Do not use the ground
lug on the XLR connector. Do not connect the cable’s shield conductor to the ground lug or allow the
shield conductor to come in contact with the XLR’s outer casing. Grounding the shield could cause a
short circuit and erratic behavior.
13
DMX SETUP
Special Note: Line Termination. When longer runs of cable are used, you may need to use a terminator
on the last unit to avoid erratic behavior. A terminator is a 110-120 ohm 1/4 watt resistor which is
connected between pins 2 and 3 of a male XLR connector (DATA + and DATA -). This unit is inserted
in the female XLR connector of the last unit in your daisy chain to terminate the line. Using a cable
terminator (ADJ part number Z-DMX/T) will decrease the possibilities of erratic behavior.
5-Pin XLR DMX Connectors: Some manufactures use 5-pin DMX- 512 data cables for DATA
transmission in place of 3-pin. 5-pin DMX xtures may be integrated into a 3-pin DMX line with a
5-pin to 3-pin adapter cable. Although these adapters are available at most electric stores, one can be
assembled using the conversion chart.
14
15
DMX ADDRESSING
All fixtures should be given a DMX starting address when operating with a DMX controller, in order to
ensure that the correct fixture responds to the correct control signal. This digital starting address is
the channel number from which the fixture starts to “listen” to the digital control signal sent out from
the DMX controller. This starting DMX address is assigned by setting the correct DMX address on
the digital control display on the fixture.
You can set the same starting address for all fixtures or a group of fixtures, or set different addresses
for each individual fixture. Setting all fixtures to the same DMX address will cause all fixtures to react
in the same way. In this case, please note that changing the settings of one channel will affect all the
fixtures simultaneously.
If you set each fixture to a different DMX address, each unit will start to “listen” to the channel
numBer you have set, based on the quantity of DMX channels of each fixture. That means changing
the settings of one channel will only affect the selected fixture.
As an example, since this device has 9 DMX channels, you should set the starting DMX address of
the first unit to 1, the second unit to 10 (1 + 9), the third unit to 19 (1+ 9 + 9), and so on.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE PERFORMING ANY CLEANING OR
MAINTENANCE!
CLEANING
Frequent cleaning is recommended to ensure proper function, optimized light output, and an extended
life. The frequency of cleaning depends on the environment in which the device operates: damp,
smoky, or particularly dirty environments can cause greater accumulation of dirt on the xture housing
and/or light xture optics. Clean the external surface and the front lens of the device periodically with
a soft cloth to avoid dirt/debris accumulation
NEVER use alcohol, solvents, or ammonia-based cleaners.
MAINTENANCE
Regular inspections are recommended to ensure proper function and extended life. There are no user
serviceable parts inside these devices; please refer all other service issues to Eliminator Lighting.
Should you need any spare parts, please order genuine parts from Eliminator Lighting.
Please refer to the following points during routine inspections:
A detailed review should be performed by an approved electrical engineer every three months, to
make sure the circuit contacts are in good condition in order to prevent overheating.
Be sure all screws and fasteners are securely tightened at all times. Loose screws may fall out
during normal operation, resulting in damage or injury as larger parts could fall.
Check for any deformations on the unit. Deformations could allow for dust to enter into the device,
or cause the device to fall and seriously injure a person(s).
Electric power supply cables must not show any damage, material fatigue, or sediments.
FUSE REPLACEMENT
This device features a replaceable fuse located alongside the Power Input on the back side of the
device. To access the fuse, use a at head screwdriver to catch the groove in the wall of the Power
Input. BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE FUSE CLIP, THE POWER INPUT, OR THE PRONGS.
When replacing the fuse, be sure to replace the correct one, as the fuse clip contains both an operational
fuse and a spare fuse. Replace the fuse only with an identical F2A 250V fuse.
