1. Remove Interior Panel Stops
Tape broken glass with filament or duct tape before
removal of panel to reduce glass fragmentation.
• Score perimeter of each Interior Panel Stop using a
utility knife to break varnish/paint seal.

Single Units
• Insert a small pry bar between sill Interior Panel Stop
and frame. Use protective material under pry bar to
protect jamb.
Pry Interior Panel Stop up gently and remove without
scratching surrounding trim.
Record original location on back side of each piece
for reapplication.
• Repeat for head Interior Panel Stop.
• Repeat for side Interior Panel Stops.

Wear gloves, safety glasses, goggles, or eye shields
when handling glass. Tape broken glass with duct
tape before removal to reduce glass fragmentation.
Failure to do so may result in severe personal injury,
product, and/or property damage.

1. Remove Interior Panel Stops (Continued)
• Insert a small pry bar between center Interior Panel
Stop and panel. Use protective material under pry bar
to protect panel surface.
Pry Interior Panel Stop up gently and remove without
scratching surrounding trim.
Record original location on back side of each piece
for reapplication.
• Repeat for head and sill Interior Panel Stops.
• Repeat for side Interior Panel Stops.

Joined Transom Unit
• Locate screws between panel and jambs using a flash
light if necessary.
For Transom Units, insert hacksaw blade between panel
and jamb. Cut through screws on all four sides.
For Sidelight Units, insert hacksaw blade between
panel and jamb. Cut through screws on head and sides
(units do not have screws on bottom).
For Joined Transom Units, insert hacksaw blade
between panel and jamb. Cut through screws on outer
side, head, and sill of the panel being replaced.
2. Remove Panel
Protect jamb surface when cutting screws. Use a
backup guard between jamb and panel, if necessary.

For Transom Units, cut exterior fillet bead 3/4” deep
using a metal putty knife/ deglazing tool on all four
sides and remove panel.
For Sidelight Units, cut exterior fillet bead 3/4” deep
using a metal putty knife/deglazing tool on both side
and head jambs and remove panel (sill does not
require deglazing).
Remove Exterior Mull Cover using a pry bar. Use
protective material between pry tool and panel.
Cut exterior fillet bead on joined side (area behind
Exterior Mull Cover) 1/4” deep using a metal putty
knife/deglazing tool.
Cut exterior sealant fillet bead on remaining three sides
3/4” deep using a metal putty knife/deglazing tool.
Remove and retain both screws from the center join on
the side opposing the panel being replaced. Remove
panel and retain screws.

Single Units
Support Panel at all times once removal of glazing
silicone begins. Panel may fall inward. Failure to do
so may result in severe personal injury, product,
and/or property damage.

3. Position and Attach Jamb Clips
Interior Side Up
4. Remove Silicone and Clear Window Opening
• For Transom Units, remove old silicone
from glazing lip on all four sides.
For Sidelight Units, remove old silicone
from glazing lip on sides and head and
silicone or foam tape on sill.
Check perimeter of frame glazing area for
obstructions such as screws or nails.
Correct, as necessary, making
obstructions flush with frame
surfaces. Place panel in
opening to check for
additional obstructions.
Place replacement Panel on a clean surface with interior side up.
Determine location of mounting clips on replacement Panel from
Jamb Clip Chart below.
Position number of Jamb Clips according to Jamb Clip Chart and
fasten using two #6 X 1/2” Screws, as shown.
Jamb Clips are not required on side being joined in center.
Position all other Jamb Clips according to Jamb Clip Chart and
fasten using two #6 X 1/2” Screws, as shown. DO NOT apply
Jamb Clips to side begin joined in center.
Remove Spacer Clips from both side jambs. Spacer Clips are
only needed at head and sill.

5. Seal Opening
Apply a 5/16” bead of silicone sealant to glazing lip on
all four sides of frame. Locate bead approximately 1/4”
from lip edge to reduce excess sealant on exterior.
Apply a 5/16" bead of silicone sealant to glazing lip on
sides and head of frame. Locate bead approximately
1/4" from lip edge to reduce excess sealant on exterior.
Apply 1/2" bead of silicone sealant along sill in same
location where old silicone sealant or foam tape was
located.

6. Install Glass Panel
Set bottom of replacement Panel on sill and push top
into glazing leg. Center replacement Panel in opening
from left to right.
Set bottom of replacement Panel on sill close to the
side opposite the center post and push top into glazing
leg. Slide replacement Panel sideways against center
post until flush.

7. Attach Panel to Frame
Hold replacement Panel firmly in position. DO NOT
push on glass. Push tight from the interior and fasten
Panel to frame using a minimum of two Screws per
Jamb Clip.
Hold replacement Panel firmly in position. DO NOT
push on glass. Push tight from the interior and secure
Panel to joining post using previously removed screws.
Fasten Panel to frame using a minimum of two Screws
per Jamb Clip.
Clean surfaces where Exterior Mull Cover will
be reapplied.
Fill the triangular recess between the panel and joining
post with silicone sealant. Silicone must run full length
and close off along sill and head jamb.
Remove protective backing from tape on back side of
Exterior Mull Cover.
Apply Exterior Mull Cover over join and center between
head and sill.

8. Reapply Interior Panel Stops
• Remove excess silicone from exterior using a nylon
putty knife flush with the exterior face of glass.
Apply a 3/16”, smooth, continuous bead of color
matching Silicone Sealant around exterior perimeter of
unit at panel/frame joint.
9. Apply Exterior Silicone Sealant

and sill. Fasten using 1-1/2” (4d) finish nails.
Reapply Interior Panel Stops to sides first, then to

finish nails cut to 1”. DO NOT nail into area 3/4” from
