EasyCoder F4 Printhead Spring

Some applications require that the EasyCoder F4 is installed in

a vertical or semivertical position, that is, with the front pointing

down. In such cases, the printer should be ﬁ tted with a rotating

media hub rather than a media supply post.

To prevent the printhead from sliding forward when raised, a

spring that holds the printhead bracket to the headlift shaft can be

installed as an option:

• Wrap the spring around the headlift shaft

• Insert the lower leg of the spring into the lower hole in the side

of the printhead bracket.

• Connect the upper leg of the spring to the upper hole in the

printhead bracket.

• Check that the printhead can be raised and lowered without any

obstructions.

Important!

Remember to remove the spring before printhead replacement

and to put it back afterwards.
