General information
Reading and storing the user manual
This user manual accompanies this 4 step aluminum ladder
(hereinafter referred to only as “ladder”). It contains important
information about handling and use.
Before using the ladder, read the user manual carefully. This
particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure to heed this user manual
may result in severe injury or damage to the ladder.
Store the user manual for future use. If you pass the ladder on to third parties,
please be absolutely sure to include this user manual.
Proper use
The ladder is designed exclusively for use as a climbing aid in the home, garden
and for hobbies. With the ladder, you can perform simple tasks at heights that
can only be reached with a ladder. The ladder is only intended for personal use
and not suitable for commercial purposes.
Only use the ladder as described in this user manual. Any other use is deemed
improper and may result in damage to property or even personal injury. The
ladder is not a children’s toy.
The manufacturer or vendor accepts no liability for damage caused by
improper or incorrect use.

General safety instructions
FOR YOUR SAFETY READ CAREFULLY
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
Failure to use the ladder properly could result in injury.
Inspect upon receipt and before each use; never climb
a damaged, bent or broken ladder. All parts must be in
good working order. Make sure all joints are tight; rungs
and braces are secure; locking lever and securing strap
function properly. Do not use ladders with missing, loose,
damaged, or non-operating parts.
Replace heavily worn feet and illegible labels.
IMPORTANT: the ladder is designed to support one person
plus materials and tools not more than the working load
of 250 lbs (113.4 kg).
Only climb the ladder if you are in good health. Some
health conditions such as pregnancy may pose an
increased risk to your health. If applicable, ask your doctor
before stepping on the ladder.
DO NOT USE THE LADDER if you are subject to fainting
spells, or are using medicine or alcohol, or are physically
impaired. Do not use ladder if your judgment or balance is
reduced by age, health, or drugs.
Make sure that the ladder is suitable for the intended use.
Do not set up the ladder on steps.
Do not set up the ladder on icy or otherwise slippery surfaces.
Only use the ladder on a clean, flat, level and stable base
that does not move.
Do not use the ladder to bridge distances or as a bridge.
Do not use the ladder to climb up to other levels.

Do not use the ladder as a leaning ladder.
DANGER! METAL CONDUCTS ELECTRICITY! Do not let the
ladder of any material come in contact with live electrical
wires.
Check to make sure that there are no lines or pipes,
unlocked windows, doors and buttresses in the
surroundings before you climb onto the ladder.
Check the surroundings for sources of danger such as
exposed high-voltage lines or other electrical equipment
before you set up the ladder and climb onto it.
Always set all four feet on firm level surface.
Make sure that the ladder has been set up properly before
you climb on it. The platform must be securely fitted on
the top lateral brace.
To the extent possible, keep doors and windows in the
work area locked while you are on the ladder providing
they are not emergency exits.
Do not use the ladder if one or more non-slip rubber caps
for the support feet are missing or visibly damaged.
Face the ladder when climbing up or down. Keep body
centered between the rails.
Maintain a firm grip. Use both hands when climbing.
Do not overreach, move the ladder when needed. Both
feet should always be firmly positioned on the same tread.
Climb the ladder one tread at a time and do not skip
multiple treads.
Do not slide down the rails.
If necessary, secure the stability of the ladder by additional
measures.
If you are working at an elevated height, take extra steps
to further secure the ladder.

Only transport the ladder when it is closed.
To avoid excessive wear or loading at vehicle support
points: when transporting the ladder, make sure that it is
adequately secured on the roof rack or loading area.
Do not climb the ladder in the event of strong wind or storms.
Do not place any tools or other objects on the treads and
do not hang anything on the ladder. Only use the storage
tray as such.
Avoid work resulting in a one-sided load such as drilling
through a material like concrete sideways.
Only move light, manageable objects on the ladder. Use
the storage tray for tools or similar to keep your hands as
free as possible.
When working, always firmly hold onto the ladder with
one hand or use additional safety features.
Only climb the ladder with slip-resistant shoes.
Only wear tightly fitting clothing when you climb the
ladder. If you are wearing a long scarf or similar, you could
catch yourself and fall off the ladder.
Keep the ladder clean, free from grease, oil, mud, snow,
wet paint and other slippery material. Keep your shoes
clean; leather soles should not be used.
Only use the ladder for tasks that are quickly completed.
Climb down the ladder immediately and step off it if you
feel tired.
Do not extend the ladder in a makeshift manner and also
do not modify its shape and function in any manner.
To protect children, do not leave ladder set up and
unattended.
Make sure that children do not play with the plastic
wrapping, they may get caught in the wrapping and
could suffocate.

Lean into or hold onto ladder to maintain 3 points of
contact while working.
Keep ladder close to work. Move ladder as needed. Do not
walk or move ladder while standing on it.
Stand only on front steps of ladder.
Do not climb on or off ladder from side unless ladder is
secured against tipping.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the ladder may cause damage.
If you apply lubricant, make sure that it does not come
into contact with the treads or the rails. If it does, clean
immediately.
Never make temporary repairs of damaged or missing
parts. Contact manufacturer for parts.
Only have the ladder repaired by a qualified person.
Only use original or equivalent spare parts for repairs.
If you set up the ladder on a soft surface and want to
prevent depressions, use a non-slip base.

If you are not cautious when opening the packaging with a
sharp knife or other pointed object, you may quickly damage
the ladder.
For this reason, be very careful when opening it.
Setting up the ladder

1. Take the ladder out of the packaging.
2. Check to make sure that all parts are included (see Fig. A).
3. Check whether the ladder or individual parts are damaged. If this is the
case, do not use the ladder. Contact the manufacturer via the service
address indicated on the warranty card.
Basic cleaning
Remove the packaging material and all plastic wrappings.
Clean all parts of the ladder before first use as described in the chapter
“Cleaning”.
Setting up the ladder

Incorrect use may result in injury.
Only step onto the ladder if you
have set it up properly and in a suitable location,
wear sturdy shoes,
carefully read through and understood the chapter
“Safety”.
Make sure that there are no children in the room where
the ladder is set up if they are not supervised. Children
must not play with the ladder.
Make sure that the support feet of the ladder are located
firmly and flat on the ground. The ladder must not wobble.
CAUTION!
Risk of crushing!
You could crush your fingers when setting up or taking down
the ladder.
Make sure that you take hold of the rails and supports
when setting up the ladder.

NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
If you use unsuitable cleaning agents or utensils, you could
damage the surface of the ladder.
Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with metal or
nylon bristles or sharp or metallic cleaning utensils such as
knives, hard scrapers and the like. They could damage the
surfaces.
Make sure that the lubricant does not come into contact
with the treads or the rails.
1. Wipe the ladder off with a damp cloth.
2. Let the ladder dry completely.
3. Apply lubricant if necessary for smooth operation. Wipe off all excess lubricant
with a dry clean cloth. You can now close the ladder or continue to use it.
Storage
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Storing the ladder in a damp area will allow rust to form. This
may permanently and irreparably detriment the functionality
or load bearing capacity of the ladder.
Store the ladder in a dry area.
Store the ladder where protected from unsafe materials, impact, or corro-
sion damage.
Only close the ladder and put it away once it is clean and completely dry.
Store the product so that it is not accessible to children, securely locked
away.
