5. Safety Notes
Read the operating instructions attentively and particularly observe the safety notes. If the
safety notes and the information in these operating instructions regarding proper handling are
not observed, we assume no liability for any resulting injury/property damage. In such cases, the
warranty/guarantee will also lapse.
• The product is not a toy. Keep it away from children and pets.
• All persons operating, installing, setting up, commissioning or servicing this device must be trained and
qualiedaccordinglyandobservetheseoperatinginstructions.
• Ensure proper commissioning of the device. Observe the operating instructions for it.
• This device is a protection class 1 product. The only permissible voltage source is a properly grounded
mains socket (220-240 V/50/60 Hz) of the public mains.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under mechanical
stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold. Do not modify the
mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A damaged mains cable can cause a deadly
electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via
the respective circuit breaker and FI switch) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains socket.
Separate the mains cable from the device. Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• Inordertocompletelyseparatetheamplierfromthemains,youhavetopullthemainsplugoutofthe
mainssocket.ItisnotsufcienttoturnthePAspeakersetoffwiththeon/offswitch.
• Neverpourliquidsonelectricaldevicesanddonotplaceanycontainerslledwithliquids(e.g.vases)on
them.Thereisgreatdangerofreorpotentiallyfatalelectricshock.Ifthisisthecase,rstpowerdown
the respective mains socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker and FI switch) and then pull the mains cable
from the socket. Disconnect all cables from the device. Do not operate the product anymore afterwards,
but take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Make sure the subwoofer is sufciently ventilated when in operation. Do not cover the ventilation
openings or the cooling element with magazines, blankets, curtains or similar. Keep a minimum distance
of 15 cm from other objects.
• Donotplaceanyopensourcesofre,suchasburningcandles,onthedevice.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
• Protecttheproductfromstrongvibrations,humidity,moisture,ammablegases,vapoursandsolvents.
• Do not subject the product to mechanical stress.
