Operation
The infrared-electronic system emits invisible, pulsed light.
The infrared-electronics are adjusted so that water flow is
initiated when the hands approach the vicinity of the spout.
When the hands are withdrawn from the vicinity of the spout,
water flow is stopped after 2 s (factory setting).
The range of the sensor system is dependent upon the
reflective properties of the detected object.
Cleaning mode
Cleaning mode is activated when the hand is held for 5 s at a
distance of 3 - 7cm in front of the sensor system. Water flow is
interrupted for 3 minutes.
When a user enters the detection zone again for 5 s or after
the time has elapsed, the water flow is initiated again.
Automatic safety shut-off
After 60 s (factory setting) of continuous detection of an object,
the infrared electronics automatically stop the water flow.
The automatic safety shut-off can be set in step of 5 - 420 s
using the remote control (see Special accessory,
Prod. no.: 36 206).
Automatic flush
The automatic flushing serves to maintain water hygiene in the
case of long-term non-utilisation of the fitting and activates
water flow for 1 – 10 minutes, 1 - 3 days after the last use.
Safety notes:
- Ensure free draining in the case of activated automatic
flushing.
- For automatic flushing of the hot and cold water lines,
the thermostat must be in the mixed water setting.
The following settings can be made and changed with the
infrared remote control (Prod. no. 36 206):
Activate and set automatic flushing
1. Switch automatic flushing on / off.
• Press and hold the RESET button.
• Then additionally press OFF AUTO button within 2 s.
(indicator lamp in the sensor system of the fitting flashes).
- Switching on: Within 10 s, press OFF AUTO button
Warning lamp in sensor system flashes 4 x short = On
- Switching off: Within 10 s, press OFF AUTO button
Warning lamp in sensor system flashes 2 x long = Off
Setting mode is quit automatically after 10 s.
2. Set flush interval to 3 days or 1 day.
•Press the TEST button => test mode is switched on
- The flushing interval can be set via the ON AUTO button.
•Press the ON AUTO button as required.
The indicator lamp in the sensor system of the fitting flashes:
- 2 x long = 1 day flush interval is set
- 4 x short = 3 day flush interval is set
Setting mode is quit by pressing the TEST button, or
automatically after 60 sec.
3. Set flushing duration in minute intervals
from 1 to 10 minutes.
• Press the TEST button => test mode is switched on
Using the + and - buttons ( button), the flushing
duration can be increased (+) or reduced (-).
• Press the + or - button ( button).
The indicator lamp in the sensor system of the fitting flashes:
- 4 x short = adjustment by one step (approx. 1 minute)
- 2 x long = end position reached
Setting mode is quit by pressing the TEST button, or
automatically after 60 sec.
Setting continuous running time to 3.5 min or 11 min
(factory setting: 3.5 min)
• Press the TEST button => test mode is switched on
The continuous running time can be set using the OFF
AUTO button.
• Press the OFF AUTO button as required.
The indicator lamp in the sensor system of the fitting flashes:
- 2 x long = 11 min continuous running is set
- 4 x short = 3.5 min continuous running is set
Setting mode is quit by pressing the TEST button,
or automatically after 60 sec.
Maintenance
Inspect and clean all components and replace if necessary.
Shut off the water supply and switch off the voltage
supply.
I. Transformer
1. Remove screw (G2) using allen key provided and detach
wall plate (G), see Fig. [11].
2. Detach plug-in connections (P1) and (P2) of transformer,
see Fig.[12].
3. Remove headpart (L) of transformer from base (M).
II. Solenoid valve
1. Remove screw (G2) using screwdriver provided and detach
wall plate (G), see Fig. [11].
2. Detach flexible hose (N) with seal (N1) from solenoid
valve (J), see Fig. [13].
3. Detach plug-in connector of solenoid valve (J).
4. Detach solenoid valve (J).
5. Replace filter (J2) or diaphragm (J3).
III. Wall plate with electronics
1. Proceed as for Transformer maintenance, points 1 and 2
and Solenoid valve maintenance, points 1 to 3.
2. Remove spout and extension (if fitted), see Fig. [14].
The electronics can only be replaced complete with the cover
rosette.
IV. Unscrew and clean flow straightener (13 960),
see fold-out page II.
Assemble in reverse order.
