1 Phone Lay out
Features on a SoundPoint IP 32X/33X are:
1. Line Key 1 Activate a line to start a call.
2. Line Key 2 Activate a line to start a call. This key can also be used as a
speed Dial or Busy Lamp Field.
3. Display Control Keys Use , , and (arrow buttons) to scroll
through menus or lists. Use to enter.
4. Hold Put a caller on hold or to resume a conversation.
5. Headset Switch a headset on or off.
6. Speaker For handsfree calling
7. Microphone Mute Switch the microphone on or off.

2 Basic features
2.1 Redial
A redial can be done by pressing the button.
2.2 Hold button
You can hold or resume a call by pressing the button or the soft keys “hold” or
“resume”.
When you have more than 1 call on hold you can switch between calls by using the
arrow keys: and .
2.3 Conference calls
Start a conference call:
Start a call from your phone. When the call is active you can press the soft key
“Conf”. The active call is put on hold. Press the number of the person you would
like to add and press the soft key “Dial”. When this second call is active, you
can press the soft key “Conf” again and the conference call is active with 3
parties. This action can be repeated to add more callers.
End a conference call:
To end a conference call, but not hang up the callers, press the soft key “Split”.
Both calls are put on hold and can be resumed separately.
To end a conference call, hang up or press the soft key “End call”.
2.4 Transfer
To transfer a call use the soft key “Trans” during an active call and press the number
you would like to call (internal or external) and finish with the “Dial” soft key. After
talking to the second party press “Trans” to complete the transfer.
2.5 Forward
To set up a forward press the button followed by option 1 and option 3.
3 different forwarding options are available. With the arrows you can scroll through the
menu and with the button you can select different options:
Always: all incoming calls will be directly forwarded to the configured number.
o To enter a number, edit the “contact” field with the button.
o With the << you can erase the number and then enter a new one
o Press the soft key “OK” and scroll down to the “Forward” field.
o Press to go down. You will now see the entry ‘Disabled’.
o Press the to select.
o Press to change the setting to ‘Enabled’.

o Now you will see the option: OK. Press the soft key ‘OK’ to confirm.
o Press the button and select ‘Yes’ to save
o Press the 2 times to leave the menu
No answer: This is often set by NDI for all phones, but it is possible to adjust it
per phone. To adjust, follow the steps as mentioned above. Also set the number
of rings in the “Forward After Rings” field
Busy: This is often set by NDI for all phones, but it is possible to adjust it per
phone. To adjust, follow the steps as mentioned above.
2.6 Call History
With the control keys you can see the call history of your phones:
Received calls: Press to see the list and press to scroll down.
Placed calls: Press to see the list and press to scroll down.
Speed Dials: Press to see the list and press to scroll down.
