• Do not drop or subject the scale to shock as this may damage the
unit.
• Do not place hot liquids into the measuring bowl.
• When pouring liquid from the measuring bowl, remove it from the
scale base.
• Scale and bowl should be cleaned immediately after use. Do not use
abrasive chemicals for cleaning.
• Clean the scale with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in
water or any other liquid.
• Remove battery from the scale if it is not being used for extended
period of time.
• If scale is not operating properly, check that the battery is properly
installed. If that is the case, then try changing the battery and start
operation again.
• Only store at, not in an upright position.
• Store in a cool and dry place.
• This scale is for household use only.

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Swallowing may lead to serious injury
or death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion. Immediately see
a doctor and have the doctor phone (202) 625- 3333 collect. Keep in original
package until ready to use. Dispose of used batteries immediately. Risk of injury
due to re, explosion or leakage. Do not disassemble, charge, crush or expose to
re or high temperatures.
LITHIUM COIN CELL SAFETY NOTICE: Keep lithium coin batteries out of the
reach of small children; coin cell batteries can be accidentally ingested. If ingested,
these batteries may leak harmful contents causing chemical burns, perforation of
soft tissue, and in severe cases may cause death. Lithium coin batteries must be
removed immediately if swallowed. Seek medical attention immediately. If you or
your doctor suspects that a battery has been ingested for assistance in the US call
the NATIONAL BATTERY INGESTION HOTLINE any time at (202) 625-3333: in
Canada call 416-813-5900.
In order to prevent unnecessary battery drain, do not store anything on the scale.
Do not dispose of batteries in re. Batteries may explode or leak.
Remove the battery if the scale is not used for a long period of time.

OPERATION
Insert included lithium cell battery into battery holder at the back of the scale. Open the cover,
install the battery into the holder with “+” polarity facing up and close cover.
Place the scale on hard and at surface. A clean table or counter is best. Do not place on soft
surfaces as accuracy may be compromised.
Press TARE button to turn on the scale. It is ready for use when the LCD screen shows “0”.
Use “MODE” button to select “g” grams, “oz” ounces for weight measurements. For volume
measurements of water or milk, use ““ml” or “cup”.
NOTE: For volume measurement of water or milk, be sure that the correct word “water” or “milk”
appears in the upper portion of the display depending on which you are trying to measure.
Place the included collapsible bowl or other container/storage item you want measured on the
platform of the scale and the measurement will appear on the screen.
NOTE: The measurement will display for about one minute and then switch off automatically. You
can also switch off immediately by pressing the TARE button down for approximately two
seconds.
If you want to use the TARE function, press the TARE button again to clear the results of the
container/storage item just measured.
NOTE: When using without the included bowl if the item or items weighed exceeds 100g the
word “Tare” will appear in the display along with “0” with the unit of measure you have
selected. If the item, or items weighed is less than 100g, only “0” and the unit of measure
will appear.

Then, place the next food or liquid to measure into the collapsible bowl or container/storage
item and just the measure of what was added will be displayed. This step can be repeated to
continue to get individual measurements of additional items.
Press the TARE button again and when the collapsible bowl or container/storage item with the
food or liquid is removed from the platform, a “-“ symbol will appear with the total measure of
the food or liquid and the collapsible bowl or container/storage. If you press the TARE button
again, the display returns to “0”.
NOTE: After your last TARE function request and the contents have been removed from the
platform, the unit will shut off automatically after approximately 60 seconds.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Change battery when “fuel gauge” type battery icon along the bottom of the
display indicates little or no remaining battery capacity.
”EEEE” showing on LCD indicates overload, surpassing the 11 pound weight limit of
this product.
“unSt” showing on the LCD indicates that the scale is not stable and measurements
may not be accurate. Relocate scale to a more stable location.

purchaser that the product will be free from

period designated for this product. The warranty
commences the day the product is purchased and
covers up to a period of 1 year (12 months) for
labor/1 year (12 months) for parts (manufacturing
defects only)/carry in service.
W Appliance Co. agrees that it will, at its option,
replace the defective product with either a new
or remanufactured product equivalent to your
original purchase during the warranty period.
Exclusions: This warranty does not apply to the

1. If the appearance or exterior of the product has
been damaged or defaced, altered or modied
in design or construction.
2. If the product original serial number has been
altered or removed or cannot be readily
determined.
3. If damage is due to general misuse, accidents or
acts of God.
4. If repair attempts are done by unauthorized
service agents, use of parts other than genuine
parts or parts obtained from persons other than
authorized service companies.
5. On units that have been transferred from the
original owner.
6. On products that have been purchased as
refurbished, like new, second-hand, in a “As-Is”
or “Final Sale” terms.
7. To products used in a commercial or rental
setting.
8. To products used in settings other than
ordinary household use or used other than in
accordance with the provided instructions.
9. To damages for service calls for improper
installations.
10. To glass parts and other accessory items that
are included with the unit.
11. Transportation and shipping costs associated
with the replacement of the unit.
12. Service calls to instruct you how to use your
product.
